December 12, 2024Dec 12 Author Moving onto the next section of this park as we make our way around Enchanted Lake. Purple is the Treehouse Island in the lake that will be accessed with a causeway. Dark Orange will be a faux swan boat ride. Light orange will be a Ferris wheel and some shops. Yellow boxes will be faux games of chance. Pink will be a wild mouse coaster. Here is the official write up from this area from my friend who dreamed this park up. Enchanted Swan Boats Guests can pedal a 2-person Swan Boat on Enchanted Lake, around Tree House Island Tree House Island The island holds six tree houses connected by rope bridges and accessible by stairs which wind around two of the trees. While real trees populate the island, the ones supporting the tree houses are steel structures. One “tree” hides an elevator, for older and wheelchair-bound guests. Each house is designed in a different style. Many of the tree houses have secret doors and passages. Passage between treehouses is provided by suspension bridges. The island is in the middle of Enchanted Lake and is accessible by a bridge. Games of Skill and Chance Six carnival-style games (with a magic or mystery theme) with prizes. Sorcerer’s Rage A spinning “Wild Mouse”-type roller coaster with a dark tunnel, fog, special lighting and sound effects. Bumper Boat Bayou Behind Treehouse Island is a natural-style lagoon with peddle bumper boats. Floating rubber alligators act as obstacles while Weeping Willow and River Birch trees provide shade. Wonder Wheel A large Ferris Wheel with programmable light show. Rainbow Falls A 12-foot-tall waterfall off of rock outcroppings on Treehouse Island terminates in the lake. In the evening, colored lighting highlights the waterfall.
December 18, 2024Dec 18 Author Starting the layout for this section. Placed the basic locations for all the games and rides.
December 30, 2024Dec 30 Author Here is Treehouse Island taking shape. I have the selected treehouses (all from the workshop) roughly placed, but they need to be refined and paths and other extras still placed and finalized.
December 30, 2024Dec 30 That is going to be so cool...can't wait to see what you do with fitting all the treehouses together!
January 9Jan 9 Author Here is the early stage of the wild mouse coaster. I started adding some fun house type scenery to it.
January 16Jan 16 Author Because the game booths are not working in game....I need to cover the real path with a faux path cover to hide the fact that these are not working features in the game. This is about how wide I have to make the cover.
January 17Jan 17 Author That will be a root beer barrel/drinks. That's off of the workshop, so I will remove all the snow and holiday stuff. My buddy had a root beer shop in his plan, so that's where that is coming from.
January 20Jan 20 Author Here is the faux path covers in place. Still need to cover and clean up the edges....and you can see that I cleaned off the holiday skin from the barrel.
January 23Jan 23 Are the swan boats a working ride, or static? If real, are they on a track or 'free range'? I've always liked the look of swan boats in a park.
January 26Jan 26 Author Here is the completed walkway/bridge from the Drive the USA area over to the carnival game area.
February 1Feb 1 Author Intersection of the two bridges. One going around the lake and the other crossing over to Treehouse Island.
