  1. I had no idea there were custom tracks ๐Ÿ˜ฒ
  2. @wolfpaw @Cody COUNT ME IN!
  3. Holy macaroni! Your self-taught AFE prowess is off the charts, Dumaan!
  4. Absolutely agree there! But I knew those mortars weren't going to be seen anyway, and they allowed my larger aerial shells to explode without muddying up the sky's other activity and without sending (too much) pyro through parts of the set. Sometimes I choose to consider the finished visual product versus what should be right from a physics/realism standpoint.
  5. No problem! So as not to totally derail your thread, the video below is in a spoiler tag.
  6. THANK YOU for releasing something spooky and eerie on the eve of Halloween ๐Ÿ‘ป The music you used here is SUPER similar to your Donnie Darko tribute show a few months back - sounds like they share some of the same SFX. It was fun to see you use the FCR more this outing! As you build more shows, I would love to see you play with the depth of the set more. Launch ground effects from the foreground, perhaps even on the water's surface from little barges built out of the steel framework that surround the smoke stacks. You can also raise a row of mortars up so you can launch your aerial effects from higher positions and not have them blow up through your set ๐Ÿ˜… Keep creating, Kriscendo! You're helping keep the MixMaster alive, and we love to see it.
  7. Not a bad start! This would benefit from a more upward-facing angle so there isnโ€™t so much path taking up the lower half of the picture, and weโ€™d get to appreciate your coaster more ๐Ÿ™‚
  8. "Starlight, starrrrrrrrrbright...." Love what you did with the Tornado icon! It's got some kinetic energy despite being static.
  9. Absolutely love how this is playing out like an ABC family drama ๐Ÿ˜‚
  10. I hear this ALL the time from customers. "Why do you have Christmas out already?! It's not even Halloween??" But you'd be hard-pressed to find a bag of spider webs at your local home decor store in the week before Halloween, because people SHOP all August, September and October. If we waited to have Christmas out until even the beginning of November, 25% of our store would be empty for most of these months because Halloween is pretty much 80-90% sold through by the 3rd week of October. Plus, there really isn't a huge market for "Thanksgiving" specific decorations, at least compared to 10/31 and 12/25. Sure, some Fall colored floral, orange throw pillows and cute ceramic pumpkins that say "Give Thanks" are popular, but aside from that, Turkey Day specifically isn't a big draw for decor, though we do have generic Fall decor available from June through November. I suppose you just have to have worked retail for a few Holiday seasons to really understand why there's always an early push for any given Holiday. But frankly I'm so over people being annoyed at us that Christmas decorations are out so early. For every person that gripes, there's a line full of others buying garlands, ornaments, Lemax houses, stockings, and tree skirts as soon as they hit the shelves months before they "should" be available.
  11. *smiles begrudgingly*
  12. YES. YES. YES. YES. I think this epic is going to be up there with Sanctuary. From the footage I've seen, it's obvious you're pulling out all the stops on Siren! Beautiful color matching and a soaring soundtrack are just a few of the many elements you've mastered. Really looking forward to the release!!
  13. To me, this area feels much more like Springfield over at USH and the Simpsons Ride facade. Really fun how this area's colors are so much punchier compared to the rest of the park. Feels a lot more terrifying with that ghoulish glow coming out from under Bozo's hands and the big top, too. Is the purple/orange tent a dark ride?
  14. Ridiculously amazing production value for being 8 years old! I feel like I missed the coaster heydey of RCT3 by being so absent the last 10 years. Thanks for keeping RCT3 feeling fresh, even with older content, Wilhelm ๐Ÿ˜Š
  15. Thanks for your continued support and cheerleading, Wolfie! The picture is indeed all in-game; I only did a little tweaking in Photoshop to make the red lasers burn a little brighter behind a low-opacity fog brush.. Here are the unedited originals:
  16. I absolutely love those black pillars that cover the transition between lands. They're so edgy and spooky! I can't imagine how long this park has taken to construct but I really hope we get some timelapse footage.
  17. Hahaha, I don't know if I'm already burnt out on the spookies of October or if I'm just feeling the time crunch wane my interest, but I'm only 30% done with the laser work, and I haven't even touched pyro yet! I'm working longer hours on increasingly busier days, so once I get home I really have to force myself to open up RCT3 and make some progress. I could probably release the show in a half-baked effort in time for the 31st, but I really don't want to showcase an incomplete production. And by the way, I AM THE MANAGER.
  18. I figured the ticket booths would carry over this Haunted Mansion-esque architecture. As for the park entrance, I like how you're basically getting off the bus and immediately punching in your last ticket, so to speak, since you're greeted by mausoleum bathrooms ๐Ÿ˜‚ Would be interesting to see a park entrance that is a little more obscure and abstract. Like, you've already been entombed, so what awaits in your afterlife? No one knows for sure, but it's likely very dark and dismal. I love Pumpkinrot's aesthetic, so maybe something drab, earthy and twisted?
  19. Nope, definitely not me stealing some of your color palettes for my own projects... Seriously, this is wonderfully kooky construction, Astro! I love the angry-faced facade next to the candy corn-porium. It almost seems like you're utilizing forced perspective in Mr. Halloween's moat-encircled castle, too! I would absolutely be a "Skeleton Key" holder to this park ๐Ÿ˜‰
  20. I am a huge fan of the film Dead Silence - I used the iconic track "Dummy" from the movie's OST in one of my earlier firework shows.
  21. .....will not be released in time for Halloween.....
  22. YEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS!! An RCT3 park in 2023?! Unheard of, but stupidly exciting! This is wonderful, Wilhelm! Love that the bathrooms are crypts ๐Ÿ˜† I am so jazzed to see your theming prowess come to life with the spooky decor. That gourd-geous rotunda is giving me all the feels right now ๐Ÿ‘ป
  23. I have been very careful not to spoil anything for myself at HHN, so I've refrained from watching any videos or reading reviews. Aside from the Chucky maze and the stunt show in the Waterworld arena, I have no idea what's in store ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
  24. We'll find out next year sometime..... Thank you so much! I thought about Grow a lot during the final nights working on this one - it inspired me to keep going because I know you never gave up despite the massive choreo challenges you faced during that one. Let me know when you're ready to start making shows again, Jaron. I'll walk you through the steps of crisp screen recording ๐Ÿ’“ "Choreographing tookit" has a wonderfully sophisticated ring to it ๐Ÿคฉ Thanks Sino! I hope to continue to make these things look as good going forward. As for Carnage, I don't know man....I think you and I could come up with something better to collab on!
  25. Went to Knotts Scary Farm this past Saturday. The short and sweet review: the 50th Haunt season provided a stunning array of lengthy, well-themed mazes (especially The Chilling Chambers, Cinema Slasher, and Wax Works). Street atmosphere was heavily present with ghouls lurching out from almost every corner. While we only caught two of the four shows (a kooky circus romp and a humor horror musical), what we did see was entertaining enough, yet the Puppet Up! show from years prior was sorely missed. As someone who considers himself a "haunter," I spend most of my time absorbing the ambiance, scenery and tech that goes into these productions. So I don't knock an event when I don't get spooked because it's rather difficult to do. I can only think of a couple of times an actor caught me off guard - I think I was more afraid of my hair getting messed up by an air cannon. The park was PACKED. On a Saturday night in October, it's to be expected, but holy macaroni was it wall-to-wall people. We arrived about 20 minutes after the event opened and anticipated a huge line to get in with the enhanced security checks, but thankfully we were pretty much waved right through since we didn't have any bags to check. Also surprisingly I didn't see an attraction line with a wait time longer than 60 minutes. I thought for sure I'd pass by a 90 or 120 minute sign, but nope! However, if you have to wait an hour for each of the 10 mazes, you are going to leave disappointed. I will ALWAYS vouch for upgraded tickets if possible; we waited at most 5 minutes for a maze with the "fright lane" add on. The food wasn't as yummers as it had been in previous years. The Boardwalk BBQ place always had a super delicious pulled pork plate that was sadly absent this year, and instead replaced by a mostly dry beef brisket option. Enough bbq sauce will fix that, though, and indeed we tried. As I've stated, the highlight of the Haunt is the maze, and I don't think there was a single dud this year. Sure, some had issues (a stupidly-expensive and poorly-executed chainsaw scene in Cinema Slasher) or were showing their age (I really hope Dark Entities and The Depths are in their final year) or needed a 10 minute mini-doc to explain their backstory (Looking at you, Bloodline 1842), but the sheer volume of effort put into these mazes is staggering. Detail, detail, detail. Even the audio, which I think is one of the most consistently overlooked and/or underwhelming aspects of a haunted attraction, was dialed in everywhere (save for a bear's roar that really sounded more like aggressive flatulence). The Chilling Chambers is an amazing callback to some of the heavy hitters of mazes past, with easter eggs and tributes strewn throughout that absolutely requires multiple passes through. MAJOR props to Knotts this year for an amazing 50th. We'll be attending Horror Nights at Universal Studio Hollywood in a couple of days - I'll report on that one, too.
