Hello, I'm having trouble installing Johnyears-SeaStorm. The scenery is there, but when I click on SeaStorm, it doesn't work, and the game won't start. I have CFR set to Style, Custom. I followed the instructions exactly, but it just doesn't work. I'm using dRCT3 through Steam. How do I need to install SeaStorm? Please help !

Did you have the Seastorm CFR folder in a folder labeled Jonnyears-ImagineerJohn? This will be the next level in the directory after Custom.

This is the contents of the folder containing the CS AddOn; according to the instructions, it should go into Style > Themed. The folder above should go into Style > Custom, according to the instructions. I followed the instructions, but it's not working. Doesn't CS stand for Custom?

CS stands for custom scenery which will go under Style/Themed.

Is there a way to contact the manufacturer of Sea Strom? If so, where?

I couldn't find a folder named > Seastorm CFR, only what's shown in the pictures. About a year ago, I had a PC with Windows 8.1, and there were no problems with Sea Storm. Now I have a new PC with Windows 11, and it doesn't work anymore.

From what you have it looks installed correctly. Unless there is something just being mean. If need be, backtrack your steps.

From your initial screenshots, place the Jonnyears- Imagineer John folder in Style/Custom. This will have the SeaStorm folder in it, which will contain the CFR.

Place the Jonnyears-SeaStorm CS Addons folder into Style/Themed.

I will suggest read the README religiously, then also make sure your game settings are appropriate (the big one being no shadows).

I always have shadows turned off because it doesn't look nice. I've moved everything between themed and custom settings, but it's still not working. I'm still getting the "No svd for sid" error message. I guess I won't be able to use Sea Storm anymore :(

Did you previously have any ImagineerJohn/Jonnyears items downloaded and installed? IF you did, be sure to follow the last line on the instructions. If you didn't have any of their stuff before you tried installing this one I'm not sure what could cause the problem. Remember that the "No svd for sid" error usually refers to a problem in you CS or CFR folder often when there is a duplicate set of ovl files. Sometimes the only way to fix is to delete those folders and reinstall them. Sometimes works...sometimes doesn't.

Admittedly it's been a long time since I've played RCT3 and I'm not even 100% sure how the CFR's I made with ImagineerJohn were installed! Hope you get it fixed, it was a really nice little CFR.

ImagineerJohn has moved on to real world park building and Jonnyears has moved on in life and seldom is around in the community any more

So, I only bought RCT3 on Steam a few days ago, and the folder wasn't there yet, the custom folder. I previously had the game on CD-ROM, but my new PC doesn't have a CD drive anymore, so I bought the Steam version for €4.99. I deleted the game again, hoping that the menu settings would reset to default. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I'll get back in touch if I have any further problems with Sea Storm. Thanks for your help.

First, create the folder ‘Jonnyears-ImagineerJohn’ if it does not already exist, or unzip the CFR file ‘Tea Cups’ into the Style/Custom’ folder.

Unzip the CFR file ‘SeaStorm’ into the folder ‘Jonnyears-ImagineerJohn’ and, if necessary, copy the folder ‘SeaStorm’ into the folder ‘Jonnyears-ImagineerJohn’. Everything should now work. Simply add the CSO file “SeaStorm” to the folder ‘Style/Themd’. Done.

The Tea Cups CFR is also from Jonnyears-ImagineerJohn, please use the folder for the SeaStorm CFR!

Now CFR SeaStorm finally works for me :)
