Am I missing something? And I agree with Danny420. There are too many things in the game that have either been lazily implemented, or need to be fixed. But blatant bugs that have existed since release, and have been reported numerous times in the Issue Tracker, are still present. Doesn't give me much confidence that any of these issues will ever be addressed. "Do you think it's just sunshine and singing and pretty colors when you grow up? August 21Aug 21 Just the skull shirt and the way the peeps are pointing at the rides in the distance.Might be completely wrong though.

I'm pretty sure the skull shirt is nothing new, so I doubt it has any significance. I think we're just used to the old Frontier who used to put little things in their screenshots hinting on future things to come. But that said, I think there is a very strong probability that a Spooky pack is on the way in time for October. I just don't think that screenshot was hinting at it. No money in that. With this long silence the game realy feels dead. Im bored by now and have not played for 3 weeks. They are slowly losing a big fan.

No peeps stand and point like that now.

August 22Aug 22 We've certainly seen the skull shirt in PC1, but I do not recall ever seeing one in PC2. Kind of feels like a hint to me.With Halloween right around the corner, it would make sense that they would release the spooky pack rather than say the vintage one. While not a stand alone DLC, I'm betting we can expect the festive stuff in November for the holiday season, perhaps in a free update. And all this retreads of the older themes is nice, but how about some original content? Granted, we got mythology and viking, but everything else released has just been carryovers from PC1.

August 22Aug 22 The DLC I'm hoping for is a water rides pack. Jurassic World Evolution 3 is getting a kayak ride. If they can make this for JW3, then I would think there is no reason they won't create rides like this for PC2...something that many players are crying for. Frontier was finally reaching higher bumber again but then decided „hey 2 months of nothing there you go“. Steam forums also seems to get less and less community interactions… I also think that the showcased „challenge“ mode is just another big miss and hints at them again not having any clear direction with the game. Out off all things we asked for and suggested, challenge mode? I mean i read a lot of comments, forums posts an such and challenge mode was one thing i surely didnt see often at all. Could be that they didnt have anything else to show, but then still i think there could have been shared more about what they are working on. Wouldnt have hurt anyone, but this way again, its hurting the community

August 22Aug 22 Soon JW3 have more atractions than PC2 if they continue like this. Baloon rides as well. . JW3 is starting to almost take over both zoo and pc2..

August 22Aug 22 I guess back to the subject of the thread, I think an Assets or a Back Stage DLC would be cool. Trucks, semis, trailers, lawn movers, golf carts, ladders, tool boxes, anything related to maintenance or park upkeep. We all depended on the workshop for those sort of things in PC1. But no Custom assets now. It might not be enough to warrant a paid DLC, but a nice thing to add to a free update. As shyguy suggested, I would also love to see an aquatic pack, swan boats, canoes, kayaks, bumper boats, a large barge or steamboat, maybe just a transportation pack that also includes a variety of monorail skins, a trolley, (Horse pulled would be fabulous!), a small bus, maybe a stagecoach and a pony, elephant, or mule ride, not PC now, but a staple of parks 70-80 years ago.And please fix the boat rides so the tracks are invisible or set up like they were in PC1 with the monorail track. August 22Aug 22 It really makes you appreciate how many things RCT3 base game had when it was out. I miss the expansion pack days. Once DLCs came out, that was it. Easier to get more money.

I wouldnt mind having such a variety coming back to pc but i doubt it :/
August 23Aug 23 For old times sake I took a look through the RCT3 custom rides and coasters hosted here, and was amazed at the huge variety people came up with that built upon the large variety that the game already provided...PC really pales in comparison.
August 23Aug 23 And even after purchasing all of the DLCs for Planet Coaster, it still didn't have the amount of rides and attractions that RCT3 included in its base game. If the game is not as financially viable as the creators had hoped, or loses steam quickly, the company would not spend time and $$$ creating yet more content that might or might not sell. With PC2, Frontier has a whole bunch of assets from PC1 that they can hopefully convert over and then turn a profit on, but as I've said before, I wonder how much truly unique new content will be coming our way? It's really a shame they don't seem inclined to bring back the Thememaker or to develop a ride making kit or something. Edited August 23Aug 23 by citytrader
August 23Aug 23 11 minutes ago, Plokoon111 said:And why is that? Are rides just so detailed and complex to make so many compared to 2002?Well, yes. And Frontier even said this back during Planet Coaster 1's original development. But that's no excuse. Planet Coaster should do everything and have everything RCT3 had and more... much more. It's over 20 years later and it's using the same, although greatly modified, engine. This should be the ultimate theme park builder. If Frontier sticks with PC2, they could achieve this. But they gave up supporting PC1, prematurely IMHO, so it's doubtful that PC2 will ever become what we want it to. Frontier is doing a balancing act with all it's different franchises, all being released at nearly the same time. Another game is supposedly coming out closely following JW3 (in the following year). That's too many games for one medium-sized development company to fully support. We're already seeing how this is negatively affecting PC2's development. In the end, the winner will be determined by it's financial success, and the Planet Coaster franchise is currently at last place, behind ED, PZ and JW. August 29Aug 29 It would be a shame for PC2 development to just end because there's really no other decent theme park sim. RCT3 and PC1 are the best, then there's Parkitect. RCT3 and Parkitect have the ability to add custom flat and tracked rides. PC2 you can add scenery to rides. PC1 you are stuck with what you got.

They didn't spend all the time and money over the last several months giving us free updates, just to stop development. I'm sure they have many DLCs planned and I expect to see at least a few of these released before Frontier decides to pull the plug. And the success of these DLCs will determine how long the game is supported. "Do you think it's just sunshine and singing and pretty colors when you grow up?
