Posted June 16Jun 16 Hey all! After my recent trip, I was thinking of some different opinions of things that have changed in the parks in the many years. What is a controversial opinion you have or just any opinion in relation to the Disney parks?Mine is the Sorcerer's Hat at Disney's Hollywood Studios should have stayed. Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway would have easily worked with the hat and plus this symbol was quite unique to any theme park.
August 17Aug 17 I think someone made a CSO of the Sorcerer's Hat, too! I would love to see that in your Hollywood Studios Recreation!I remember back in the early 2000's of the Fantasy Land remodeling for WDW, I am not sure what it was like before then since my focus was primarily Disneyland in CA. I am using that in my Hollywood Studios park. Cannot wait for the Great Movie Ride to be behind it with a version of the Chinese Theater. Fantasyland at WDW has been interesting. The concept art of the original refurbishment and branding as "New Fantasyland" was crazy because of how many small areas there was going to be. It then went to Beauty & The Beast, The Little Mermaid, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Storybook Circus.

Six Flags Magic Mountain, with its roller coaster additions, is a bit overkill in my opinion, and as a record-breaking "Most Coasters in One Park", it could have very well been a big reason why they aren't doing too well these days. Coasters can cost millions of dollars to construct and maintain. Disney spends $100M+ on theirs, mostly due to theming. SFMM is pretty empty a lot of the time. Back in the 80s and 90s, that was the golden hotspot for thrill seekers in SoCal. It's a shame Colossus was burned down, though, but that was from the heat of the desert out there, I believe? I still have never been on an RMC coaster, but I might some day, lol.(I know most of that is not Disney related, lol) Edited yesterday at 03:37 AM1 day by Xecronius
