Yet once again (I know...*groan*...) we head back for our tour! The next area was something I came up with to fill a large empty spot on the bench. I had seen a really fantastic blueprint of the Toy

Okay, I tweaked the lights on the Coke Corner building to be the suggested red/white and added the missing lights... And here's a quick overhead screen to hopefully explain the layout of the Storyvil

I really love this new area. You did a great job squeezing it in and making it work.

And now a JB type comment...In the third screenshot, is that a fish out of water, flopping around on the sidewalk? 😋

Nobody makes JB type comments like JB, but you did good! LOL!

I looked on a screen that I didn't use from slightly different angle because it DOES look like a fish...but turned out to be a bird, facing away from us and it's wings form the fins and tail at that angle...weird!

Very attractive and pleasant area! I assumed that was a LFB (Low Flying Bird) strafing the plaza in that one pic. A fish out of water? Let's not get silly! [JB takes a bow for being recognized for his astute and erudite questions.]

Here's a few night screenshots...mostly because I think the game sometimes looks better at night (or at least you don't notice as many of the bloopers anyways...)

Next up...the imaginatively named "Old Town"!

Pretty.

In the 1st pic, I like the Mickey 'Eras Tour' mural showing the Mouse in his different stages and characters. And I see that Oswald the Rabbit makes a cameo appearance.

Oswald does show up! I had to hunt all over to find an image of a classic Disney title-card with him on it!

I also love the 'Eras Tour' mural, although it I was true to the late 1940's timeline of this imaginary park, the Mickey on the far right, which looks to be from the later 1950's, early 1960's, would not appear, but then again I came cross multiple versions of this anyways, so it doesn't matter I guess.

Thanks for the comments - always appreciated!

Now we're going to enter a new area...Old Town!

Nope, not the most original name, but that's what it was called on the original plans, and since I'm barely building anything even slightly like the original plans, I'll at least keep that name in homage to it I guess...

There's three entrances to this part of the park from the Storyville area...all three require passing over a bridge. This one leads from the Animation Plaza we just visited...

vU4i80o.jpeg

Just past the bridge we find - of course - a park souvenir shop on the right...

mgy4H4x.jpeg

Old Town's main street is full of bustling businesses...

N0a5pbG.jpeg

Past the post office and boot shop, you'll find the Pony Express office, where Huey, Dewey and Louie work to make sure your mail is speedily on it's way...

MEZ7DRN.jpeg

Next is McDuck Bank, where Uncle Scrooge will help keep your gold nuggets safe...for a reasonable price of course...

GSAckjZ.jpeg

Around the corner is the Apothecary, The Rainbow Ridge Clarion newspaper, and a Ladies Millinery Shop...

tCChZbk.jpeg

The daily Stagecoach is waiting for it's team to be hitched up... The town undertaker is just past it...

8tlbvjJ.jpeg

Always looking for help...Mortimer Snead gets buried with work, always needing an extra hand...so long as it's still attached to someone still alive, he looks to hire a helper. The town's Boot Hill rises close by...

Beyond is the mansion of the Widow Carmichael. Six times married, six times widowed, then she was committed to an insane asylum out of state, leaving her mansion in disrepair and empty...or is it? Rumor claims it's haunted by those former spouses...

xgHAurt.jpeg

A caretaker offer prospective buyers to tour the mansion...if you dare...

diT2IkR.jpeg

Many of those who take him up on his offer soon flee out the side entrance in quite a state of fright...right past the open grave meant for husband number seven...

lzP1Jyy.jpeg

For those with weak constitutions, a convenient comfort station stands ready to be of service...

QNlYn8M.jpeg

Luckily they soon spot the backside of the town's building, and heave a sign of relief...

ckNH0dx.jpeg

Sheriff Mouse ensures that those who do evil round these parts are quickly rounded up and send off to the territorial penitentiary... Keep an eye open for any of these desperados!

gFMKahk.jpeg

Especially this shifty-lookin' character...the reward is paid in gold certificates!

We'll pause here and belly up to the bar for a cold sarsaparilla...until next time.

A lot to catch up on, love the idea of using an unbuilt park concept.

Western + abandoned area + spooky theme. Nice idea, fits perfectly together. I like the integrationn of the toilets into that area, great idea.

Thanks everyone!

Here's just some random screenshots as we wander around Old Town (Walt really needs his people to come up with a better name...)

A few Disney characters have shown up here as well...

Next door to Old Town is Fort Wilderness...

Nothing much inside other than restrooms and a food vendor, it's a place for imagination...

DzGaZov.jpeg

Next is the Native Village...

GEUu939.jpeg

Authentic Native foods like burgers and hot dogs from Chief Beef's...or milkshakes...

zutduAv.jpeg

Authentic Natives perform authentic Native dances on their authentic Native stage... (note the forced perspective of the small teepees on the hill as designed by our Imagineers...the same one's who couldn't come up with better name than "Old Town"...)...

The Mickey Mouse Park Railroad passes by on the lakeside, while animatronic wolves howl a greeting...

PnHnwMC.jpeg

Back over by Fort Wilderness is Pecos Bill's Pack Mules where tired little burros plod endless circles while spoiled brats try kicking them to go faster. Sadly there's no elephant rides to shove the little tykes inside of in this part of the park...

Qrjmbm2.jpeg

Meanwhile teens and adults waste their money washing ordinary gravel over and over looking for gold nuggets...

bDdJmNB.jpeg

Here Grandma and Grandpa can rest a spell overlooking the placid pond and the old settler's cabin like they grew up in...

Next time we're off to visit Old MacDonald's Farm...such an original name!

li72DMi.jpeg

Until then...

Love those old west buildings. I like how you have a lot of stuff that would eventually end up in Disneyland. Like the Golden Horseshoe, which bears a resemblance to the DIsneyland building. Plus Fort Wilderness and the Friendly Indian Village.

What?!? No elephants to stuff annoying kids into? Perhaps a rather large bison would do the trick. And all those tree stumps scattered about on the streets are an accident waiting to happen. classic_tongue
