November 14Nov 14 Author As threatened, er...promised...we now will explore Fantasyland. Now there's a name that the Imagineers should be proud of - cleverly combining 'fantasy' and 'land'...better copyright that real quick before someone tries to copy it.There are three ways to access Fantasyland - one by the Mickey Mouse Park Railroad, or one crossing over a bridge from the Fort Wilderness area, and another by land from Old MacDonald's Farm...Over the bridge... Or by land...just don't wake the dragon...We'll take the second route, the dragon is old and needs his frequent naps. I've nicknamed him "citytrader" for that reason...A festive village awaits us past the portcullis...On the left is Wise Owl Books...Just past it is Lil' Jack Horner Pie Co....thumbs not included.A little further along on the right is Little John's Food Court...On the left is our first attraction - Prince John's Bumpy Thingy which is a Whip Ride (only because the Dodgem's was too big for that structure...)Then we come to a side street on the right, on the corner is My Lady's Gowns and upstairs is Alan A. Dale's Music Shop...Then Merlin's Magic Shop...There's another entrance on the backside of Little John's Food Court here...Mad Madame Mim's Charm School...Maid Marion's Bridal Shoppe...Next door is Robin Hood's Archery where the young at heart of all ages can shoot deadly arrows...hopefully at the target and not each other...Across from that is Sir Goofy's Buffet...with all it's mac & cheese and chicken fingers goodness. Sorry, hadn't set the clock to noon when I took this screenshot, which is why the sign is so washed out, much like the lettuce at the salad bar inside...On the other side of Maid Marian's Bridal Shoppe we'll find Geppetto's Toy Shop...in the background is the other entrance to Fantasyland across the bridge from Fort Wilderness...Somebody's conscience is by the front door...Geppetto and his boys having a good time...We'll pause here...(no applause necessary nor encouraged!)(The size of this park really plays havoc with the textures on my computer, even when turned up high. As you can see some of the in-game pieces drop down in quality while the TMTK stuff remains fairly nice...I have removed everything outside the actual park boundaries on this bench, but it's pretty much now finished - thankfully!)
November 14Nov 14 I will hold all applause until you say it is time. I need encouragement. This is a very charming addition, it carry's on the Disney pre-IP whore era feel. I am working very hard to hide my opinion of Disney parks today, I hope it is working. You handled the fairy tale theming very well, it is something I have never tried, and would probably not be very good at :)
November 14Nov 14 I LOVE the look of Fantasyland! The crooked streets and thatched roofs really sell the fairy tale look and feel. I'm curious about the divider running down the middle of the bridge. I guess people going into Fantasyland would use the right half, while people exiting would use the left? Of course, Brits would do it the other way around. I'll be extra careful to not disturb citytrader from his nap.I like how you've incorporated many Disney characters into the scenes; the Geppetto window is especially nice. It's fun to see Robin Hood as an actual archer, not just as a stand-in to show the scale of the scene. ;-) And I like seeing the Sword in the Stone characters, they're often neglected."Somebody's conscience is by the front door". Smash that little bugger! (like in the original story.) He ain't good for nuthin' nohow! Pinocchio would have a lot more fun without him, says I. (I'm sure Pinoke would get used to being a donkey... eventually.)
November 14Nov 14 I hope to see an aerial view of this land at the end. Looks charming. Edited November 14Nov 14 by shyguy "...if the Pirates of the Caribbean breaks down, the pirates don't eat the tourists." --Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jurassic Park)

Looks charming.I have one I can show now...It's a little hard to see the streets, so I highlighted them in yellow below. The red indicates where the Snow White walk-through path goes. In actuality the path across the bridge sould have lined up with the castle as the weenie at the end. But I had made the bridge first, then later placed the castle kinda centered in the corner, only after I had laid the rest of the path and placed structures did I notice it didn't line up the way it should have...At upper right is a back-stage area that serves this end of the park which is unfinished... As always, click on the image to enlarge it. Edited November 15Nov 15 by Wabigbear

It's fun to see Robin Hood as an actual archer, not just as a stand-in to show the scale of the scene. ;-) And I like seeing the Sword in the Stone characters, they're often neglected.Truthfully, it's just due to the scenery piece I used when first making a bridge there before I built anything else, it had the stone texture I wanted. Then later I then decided to widen it and just duplicated the bridge and slid the copy over. Being too lazy to delete those pieces, I'm claiming that the Imagineer's cleverly designed a stone bench running down the center to allow dozens of weary parks guests a spot to relax all at one time...I can't take credit for the buildings, most are Workshop finds, some I tweaked, some I recolored, some I left exactly as they were. The main problem was downloading a bunch of excellent structure, but then having to compare each and every one so that they were about the same scale. Many were scaled too large (which is always a problem in PC when they use 4m tall walls...), a few were too small, but there were many that were Goldilock's scale and just right. One of my favorite themes from the game too. Some of the signage I made should/could have been a little larger, but they work. I had to hunt down images of Disney characters from that era, which actually was a fun reminder of some of the films from years ago! The Geppetto's window is actually multiple pieces...a background image of the workshop, then Geppetto alpha figure and two different puppet alpha groupings. Viewing the park in-game the slight separation of the figures and distance from the background gives a slight 3D effect even through they certainly aren't 3D.
November 23Nov 23 Author Continuing our tour of Fantasyland...Blue Fairy Ice Cream stall is up ahead...Along with the Fantasyland Cheese Shop (if the mice leave any...)Under the passageway we find a path leading down to The Ugly Duckling Swan Boats...The Mill House Tavern...hearty fare and root beers...Heading back to the main street...Lady Cluck's Housewares...Friar Tuck's Burgers and Brew... The Castle in the distance...Sir Mickey's Gifts...Thumper's Children's Wear...Restrooms on the right...Looking back the way we came...Again, apologies for the muddy in-game textures!Until next time...
November 23Nov 23 Really loving this Olde Worlde Fairytale architecture and all the pleasant trees and flowers. We have Sir Mickey, but I was also looking for Sir Cumference and Sir Loinsteak. (They were characters in a Goofy cartoon.)
November 24Nov 24 Very nice. Love the various vendor signs. Are these original TMTK objects you made? "...if the Pirates of the Caribbean breaks down, the pirates don't eat the tourists." --Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jurassic Park)
November 24Nov 24 Author Yes they are. I really cut back on the number of TMTK items I made for this park...only 96 of them! I have to upload them to the Workshop this week.
Tuesday at 05:05 PM5 days Author For Mickey Mouse Park I created 95 TMTK items. Those are now set to public if anyone has a desire to download something. As always I create items for my use first, so some have large file sizes, some large texture file sizes, many are imperfect. But if anyone finds a use for even one of them they are welcome to them. A few have textures set to LIT, a few are only one-sided, a few have multiple versions, there is even a couple that I never used in the park, but they were made so I included them...These are under my name in the Workshop, and all have the prefix of MM-...
Friday at 03:28 PM2 days Author If we backtrack a little ways, down by the end of the street by the Ugly Duckling Swan Boats, we find the entrance to Snow White, which serves as a walk-through attraction with various vignettes from the film, as well as the entrance to the Seven Dwarfs Runaway Mine Train Ride, a mine ride coaster hidden inside the mountain next to Fantasyland (it's not the Matterhorn as Walt hadn't yet been to Switzerland in this alternative timeline...)...Inside the entrance, stained glass windows tell the tale...We then find Snow White singing by the well with the Bluebirds of Happiness...while the Evil Queen looks down...(My intention was to to have individual story boards like pages from a book of fairytales along the walk to explain the story...but I never got that far in creating them...)After Snow White's escape from the Huntsman, she meets up with the creatures of the woods...Up ahead we get our first glimpse of the seven little men...Just past that is the entrance to the Seven Dwarfs Runaway Mine Train Ride, hidden inside the mountain...(Sorry, no screens to show here, because this bench is about maxed out, I just modeled the entrance for now...)On the left there are restrooms...the guard is there to make sure you wash your hands when done. The vultures are there for those who ignore the rules...On the right is the Seven Dwarfs home, which would have served as the exit to the Mine Train Ride...The Evil Queen turns into an Old Hag and offers Snow White a lovely apple...Snow, being a greedy child, scarfs down the apple in no time...Snow White falls into a deep sleep, and the Dwarfs lay her on a golden bier. A handsome prince just happens to be walking by, and ignoring that everyone thinks she's just a dead corpse that hasn't bloated and rotted away as yet, kinky as he was and never one to pass up an opportunity, he fulfills his fetish by lip-locking her. The onion and sardine hoagie she noshed on earlier seemed to confirm his decision that decomposition had indeed set in..Unfortunately for him, but not for her, she awakens and is actually alive...He decides to take her back to the castle to confirm that she's really not dead, no matter what her and the dwarfs try to tell him...or at least allow her access to a high-quality brand of mouth wash...THE END...The mountain isn't all that tall, but borders one side of the Fantasyland Village...From the side facing the Snow White area...the houses on it are mini ones trying for some forced perspective...The exit from this area leads back to the Castle,Which we'll visit next time... Edited yesterday at 11:06 AM1 day by Wabigbear typing errors...as usual
Friday at 10:43 PM2 days The Snow White walk-through is "charming". I like your version of the Snow White tale. It's so sweet and wholesome.😒 "...if the Pirates of the Caribbean breaks down, the pirates don't eat the tourists." --Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jurassic Park)
Friday at 11:00 PM2 days The Snow White tale works really well as a walk-through. Guests can take their time to look at the details of a scene before moving on to the next one. I also liked your telling of the tale, especially the decomposing corpse part.💀
Yesterday at 11:09 AM1 day Author I was making sure people actually read the descriptions and not just glance at the screenshots! LOL!Although admittedly my version I think would make a great live action after-school special...
Yesterday at 09:40 PM1 day I always read what's written, as well as studying the images. It's the least a person can do after the original poster goes to all the time and effort to bring it to us.
10 hours ago10 hr Author Oh, I was just joking, but I agree with you.Where else would we learn of the trials and tribulations of Mr Wonder, Wanda and Scooter if we only looked at the pretty screens?I know on social media it's a constant refrain where people react to a meme but don't read the post the meme appears in that states they don't agree with it, and then they get dragged for something that's not even their opinion!
