November 26, 2024Nov 26 I like the game too. (I'm going to leave this thread up because it's funny) there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really

Let's DO it !1!!!1!! Well... to be completely, utterly, hopelessly and daringly honest... I have to tell you that I do not like RCT3! ...Because I LOVE RCT3!!! Yes, yes... Planco and now Planco 2 too, are more complex, look absolutely stunning, and feel more like "adult" games. But that's the thing: RCT3 is now over 20 years old, and at least for me, it has not lost ANY of its charm, and what makes it so attractive to play, even though its age shows more every new year that goes by, is its LEGO-effect, which means that what you do with the game is bound only by your own imagination - and the limits set within the game and the mods. And I still don't care how outdated it looks! I'll keep playing with it till the day I die, unless the brandy, wine, and French roast coffee run out before that! 🥳 I can't think of any other over 20+ years old game, which would have the same effect and keep people playing with it year after year. Only other really old games I have the same fascination for are mostly classic adventure games, such as the Monkey Island series, Gabriel Knight series and the best adventure games ever made: Grim Fandango and Black Dahlia. Other old games I still keep playing occasionally (but not even close as much as RCT3) are SimCity 4, Train Fever, CMBB, CMAK, Stronghold 2, Stronghold Crusader 2 and Tropico 3 and 5.
