EPCOT Center's Laserphonic Fantasy (1984 - 1988) - Aerick McCullough | Work In Progress

Reflections of Earth isn't the only one getting recreated. I'm taking it further back in time with the predecessor of the original IllumiNations, Laserphonic Fantasy, that ran from 1984 to 1988 at EPCOT Center (Epcot)

Over the past few days, I've done laser and most recently, the tests of the Maxi barge.

Laser barge coming soon.

Excited to see where this project goes - this isn't going to be easy but can't wait to see how you build this out! Good luck!

there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really

The laser barge for Laserphonic Fantasy & IllumiNations (versions from 1988 to early or mid 1999) is almost completed. Still WIP.

Equipped with lights. The whole sphere itself is also an emitter for strobe effects.

I may have to trade in the ring and tacos for the blue egg 🤣. I am excited to see your progress, I know I get personal updates and enjoy seeing how you are conceptualizing how to approach different potential roadblocks. I see this being an incredible show once it is all finished.

November 14th will be the day that the main work on the Laserphonic Fantasy project will officially start when the world showcase park from Wolfpaw is released.

One of the things that I'm looking for is the background scenery. Mainly, the buildings from future world as they will be in the final video. (Vintage versions) (World of Motion, Journey into Imagination, Listen to the land/Land pavilion, Horizons).

UPDATE:

The remaining pyro effects for Laserphonic Fantasy have been completed. All that remains is the implementation of the barges to the world showcase park, choreography, and everything else, which I should be able to start 7 to 6 days from now.

It's go time.

Time to get to work on this project, as the world showcase park is officially out. The premiere date for Laserphonic Fantasy is currently unknown at this point, but I'm hoping it will be around December or January.
