introductory videos in French
While the game itself has French language support for text and menus, the developers never created or released specific tutorial videos in French for the first game, not did they in any other language, including English. There are several YouTube videos in French showing 'how-to' hints while building a park, I know Benjamin310395 had one, but unfortunately most instructional videos appear to be in English. I don't know if there are any French Planet Coaster groups on Discord or Facebook.

Oh my...I LOVE the look of that entrance! As much as I love the other styles you've done in the past, this one is something else...perhap because it's so very different. Anyways, it's a fav... Who lost their slice of watermelon and is that what's attracting flies (I mean, besides Wanda...?)

Community Chat Discussion 16: Best holiday to celebrate in the parks?
Carnival and Festa Junina in Brazil. We know about Carnival in Rio and São Paulo, but other areas of Brazil have different traditions. Other countries have Carnival traditions similar to Rio's or more like Carnival traditions of Germany or Italy. Any would lend themselves to park celebrations. Festa Junina is a holiday held in June in Brazil, it celebrates the end of the rainy season and start of fall harvest. It resembles some of the Fall traditions in the States or Europe and has some similar 'country' traditions like dressing up like hillbillies or country folk, a sort of "Sadie Hawkins Day" (shotgun weddings where the woman picks the man...), square dances, bobbing for apples and such, just no witches or ghosts. Again, similar to Fall/Halloween festivals in parks. Christmas of course is also big, but there's a big clash between winter-themed Christmas decor like snowmen and roaring fire when it's in the mid to upper 30's Celsius and palm trees outside your window. While Christmas includes gift-giving as well, there's also a dedicated 'Children's Day' for gift-giving in October. Most other official holidays in Brazil are either church related (Corpus Christi, Brazil's Patron Saint's Day...) or recognize historical events (Proclamation of the Republic Day, Independence Day). Plus most cities hold an official holiday on the anniversary of it's founding

Mickey Mouse Park...a new park re-imagined by Wagi
(A slight delay in posting here. Somehow a TMTK object 'disappeared', leaving gaps in some of the structures shown here. Unfortunately I saved the bench before noticing, so the 'disappeared' objects remains 'disappeared'...for good. So I had to recreate what was missing, which led to different designs in several cases. But all's fine in the end. Anyways...on with the tour...) Coming to the end of the block, Cast Member Evelyn channels Adriana Caselotti - the singing voice of Snow White in the original animated film - serenading tired guests with her rendition of of "I'm Wishing"...said guests wish she'd move on to somewhere else and threaten legal action against her voice coach... We'll escape around the corner where we find a Barber Shop, a Bakery (Mickey doughnuts!), and Mouse House Home Decor... ...Chest of Drawers (strangely not an underwear shop, but a store that sells furniture - who would have thought?),... A family clothing store, which also serves as a passageway back to the other street. Then yet another painless dentist (one can never have too many...), lawyers offices... Then the Disney Gift Shop ends this block... Across 4th St. is a Bakery (definitely can't have too many sweets either...hence the need for the Painless Dentist offices I assume...), then the China Closet (no egg rolls there...), and an Arcade, followed by a Coffee Shop on the corner of 4th and Main... Buster Brown Shoe Store on the opposite corner. Storyville Tours pauses while the driver run for a quick double shot espresso to deal with the upcoming crowds when the park finally opens... Next time we'll journey back up Main Street ... The Storyville Civic Improvement League recently planted those trees down the middle of the street. Some day we hope to find out...why? Until next time...

Wonder Beach Boardwalk
PAY??? Wonder has a deal with the locals - inmates get on-the-job training in ignoring guests and Wonder gets lukewarm, semi-alert bodies to fill park positions...all at the usual prison wage of 25 cents an hour...minus deductibles like Federal and State taxes, Social Security, meals, restroom fees, uniform rentals, transportation, supervision (they ARE inmates after all...), mandatory donations towards gifts for Administrative Staff birthdays and Christmas... the usual. But inmates gain so much knowledge from dodging monkey tossed poo (or toddler tossed, whichever the case may be...) plus the health benefits of breathing fresh dung-tinted air, why any wages they end up with pale on comparison!

Where those available in the vending machine at the hotel? I wasn't sure if Wanda would notice if they were since I didn't think those machines sold beer or spirits. Is that egg salad spilled down the front of Wanda's shirt?

Wanda is such a hussy, always up for breeding flamingos. Her interest in raising over-sized poultry seems strange. "Maternal" never seems to crop up on her ads on Tinder, or mentions on assorted restroom walls, so she's probably set the incubator to 'poached'.

Wanda lost some weight...must be that liquid diet she's been on. I see she has the frig well stocked for this shift. That one flamingo seems to a bit infatuated with her...hopefully breeding seasons is over before the Grand Opening...some things just shouldn't be seen.

1971 is too late, 1922 too early based just on the style of the stars, so it's between the other two. I'm going to guess C: 1960, because it seems like something from that 'space-age' era, and Hollywood was really going strong then, more so than at the end of the 1940's...

Mickey Mouse Park...a new park re-imagined by Wagi
Last round of screens I showed an area to ignore as I had taken the screens before it was finished. Well, now it's mostly done so you can uncover your eyes and we'll take a short gander... Up ahead is the streetcar barn, and to the right are several lakeside Boardwalk-themed structures... There's a small plaza where the streets meet, a restroom on the left, additional buildings to the right... A First Aid station tucked into the yellow house... Around the corner is Donald's Dockside Cafe, which is actually the backside of the Plaza Restaurant we'll see later... There's Donald himself waiting for a Meet n'Greet opprotunity once the park opens! (The SS Leaky Boat by Citytrader has popped in three different parks now...) This Boardwalk building from the Workshop just had a plain back wall, so I just copied the front of it, rotated it and added some interest... And finally - Storyville's pride and joy - it's Victorian comfort station!

Mickey Mouse Park...a new park re-imagined by Wagi
It's actually a case of pure laziness. LOL! Since many of these structures are Workshop finds, not all of them were originally meant for a Disney Main Street setting and so didn't have the popcorn lights, a fact that didn't always become evident when working on the bench when paused during daylight hours, and by the time I took night-time screens...well, it was an 'oops!' moment that I just didn't go back to fix! The laziness to fix WAS intentional...the fact they didn't have them wasn't! LOL! Thanks for the well wishes. While I've had artificial parts before with a couple of dental implants and two stents in my heart, I'm now on my way to true Bionic status with a brand new factory-fresh knee. The knee itself feels and functions wonderful...the repairs to the areas to install it are lagging behind somewhat, but physical therapy will soon cure that. The longer hospital stay was merely preventive as I had the stents from a few years ago and Brazilian insurance companies aren't in the same hurry to empty hospital beds as they are in the States...but I like hospital food...no, really... So tasty...even without salt. Or flavor. Or someone flipping on the overhead room lights at 3 am to empty the trash. So home-like...

Only 'inspired' by the original idea behind the Mickey Mouse Park, which was the precursor to Disneyland...many of the areas and layout resemble the original maps, but then I built off of those.

Mickey Mouse Park...a new park re-imagined by Wagi
After a short delay while I took a hospital vacation (always at the top of my to-do list!), we'll continue our tour even if the walker slows us down... E. 2nd Street continues to the right, while 3rd St and Park St. veer to the left. A handy kiosk with sundries occupies the triangular patch between them... Various storefront await our exploration... Including Lilly's Boutique, Disney Collection, Bookstore and others before you come to another fire station... There's period fire equipment on display here... Storyville Baby Care Center across the street... (ignore the mess in the background, I took this screen before that area was finished...) Vintage Shop and Painless Dentist... Back across the street is the entrance to the Storyville Station... After a few more nighttime screens we'll pause here for now... More to come...

Only one wine bottle showing? Did Wanda suddenly feel a need to toss the empties in the trash can? Usually she just piled them into unstable piles on available furniture, I can't envision her cutting back on her daily intake...unless she just walked in the door?

Trivia Bowl
Neither did I. Maybe we should ask citytrader, he probably remembers them using leeches to balance bodily 'humors' or tobacco enemas (AKA 'blowing smoke up one's a**") back in his younger days. Castor Oil was probably considered cutting edge 'modern medicine'.
