  1. I love you logo, and it still looks fantastic with the new name! Glad you're back at this!
  2. I'm doubtful it would have lasted very long either. Maybe it was like Walt's original idea to have real animals on the Jungle Cruise (I think I read that somewhere...). Animals are messy - even the petting zoo variety, and do things little kids might not understand like dying or making new baby animals. Even JB might have been scratching his head. And crops grow, then get harvested and then have to be re-planted and wait for them to grow...so there'd be a lot of plain old dirt to look at. What fun. JB might scratch his head at that too... That and there's no elephants in this part of the park either.
  3. We left off at the entrance to Old MacDonald's Farm...another Imagineer original name! (Although I think it was also called "Grandma's Farm' on one of the original maps...) Not sure if this was meant to be a real functioning farm...or rather a collection of fake animal statues. Certainly the crops would likely have been real. So I split the difference and used TMTK animal figures that aren't animated...smart, huh? The cow goes 'moo', the sheep goes 'baa', the goat goes 'feed me damn it'... A scarecrow guards a crop of pumpkins, corn, and some unidentified yellow stuff...yum! The old Farm House Buffet...I forgot to place the sign before I took the screenshot... Look at the size of them there apples...or melons...or dyed ostrich eggs (they certainly weren't laid by them chickens...). Available at the little Farmers Market... Farmer MacDonald doesn't look that old, but he has a nice crop of watermelons and grapes going there... Looking back the way we just came, the path on the left leads back to Fort Wilderness... That concludes this short visit (stop clapping!), our next part of the park to visit is undergoing last minute (okay...last WEEK...) details - FANTASYLAND.
  4. Travis Kelce recently made news that he was investing in Six Flags. They have around 40 parks but there was a big attendance drop - Six Flags has struggled this year, with a $320 million loss for the first half of the fiscal year with attendance dropping by 1.4 million. They are closing two parks - this one and Great America in California, and might close other under-performing ones. Kelce and his investment group hold about 9% of the stock. But he's a huge fan of amusement parks, especially Six Flags, which is good, people who care about the park and not just how much they can make off it can only be a good thing

I expect to see Pokey in there somewhere...maybe as an animal enrichment item in the Velociraptor paddock?

  7. Also I'm wondering, just what improvements could they make to justify starting over with a new game? Things in PZ (at least from the outside not playing it...), always looked far more advanced than PC1 (and even in some things with PC2...). There's a ton of animals in the current game, ton's of scenery, so what could they add there? Gameplay seems pretty basic, so what could change with it to justify moving to a new game? Possibly improvements to the game engine? I assume (but certainly don't know...), that DLC from the first game won't be able to trnsfer to the second...so that's a lot of content out the window (not that they haven't gone that route before...). Will there be enough of a difference between the two titles...or is this more of a money grab? (Not saying it is, but...) Not having bought any of the Jurassic Park titles, anyone have a view on the changes from one to the sequel in those? Was there enough of a difference in content or gameplay?
  8. To be honest...I've bought Planet Zoo and all the expansions...but other than opening the game one time to look around for a few minutes, I've never played it. For myself, there re only so many hours in a day where I can sit down and play any game, and my focus the past few years has been with Planet Coaster...the first one. I've barely even played with PC2 either, for the exact same reasons, plus I held off because of all the problems it had over the first months. Once I finish my current PC1 project I hope to be able to explore either PZ or PC2. My concern is that work on PZ2 might cut into any future work on PC2.

Well, no doubt citytrader recalls being crammed in there with 59 other people at the Chicago World's Fair, and although his memory isn't what it used to be, I'll go along with the old timer... D: 60 Franklin was noted as being a randy old guy, which may have run in the family, so I'm going D: 17 ...was that right citytrader? Not the part about being randy, but you recall Franklin mentioning he came from a large family?

Love the details. Is the wall behind the condiments a billboard? That pattern really makes a statement there, as does the skylight. Love the exterior, reminds me The Odyssey at Epcot (but yours is much better looking...)

Please don't assign any jobs at Primeval World to Wanda or Scooter...the world can't deal with Wanda getting the hots for a hulking T-Rex or Scooter leaving the door open to the velociraptor paddock.
  14. The video's well worth the few minutes needed to watch. I actually quite liked just watching the peeps walking by and getting a taste of the atmosphere outside of each ride besides on-ride footage. Both were really well done!
