  1. Thanks for the link, Wagi. Yeah, when I read about this proposed park in the news this morning, I immediately thought of Disney's America park. And, like you, the second thing I thought of was "tornado alley". Presumably, they researched the tornado frequency in this part of Oklahoma. One thing I noticed from the artists rendering is, no skyway gondolas ride to get from one end of the park to the other. Probably Disneyland's biggest mistake was removing their Skyway. (I know they had their reasons, having to do with wheelchair access and such.) I too, will be interested to see if the park is, indeed built, and if it proves to be successful. It could go the way of NY's Freedomland park.
  2. The lighting is excellent! I like how the brightly lit buildings are framed by the darker trees.
  3. I liked the progression of color changes made throughout the show. And while the music isn't something that I would sit down and listen to, it goes really well with the presentation.👍

I'm wondering what that piece of playground equipment is (near the fence in the last image). Some sort of roller drum thingy. Does it have a real-world counterpart?

Nice to see you here, iEddiez! I especially liked the lasers, they add a lot to the wild, out-of-control feel of the ride.

Thinking of this as a real ride, are the flames real fire or simulated fire (using lights, smoke, etc.)? Or have you thought about it that thoroughly? I guess it doesn't matter, just wondering how this would work in real life.🙃 I like the idea of guests helping to put out the fires.
  7. One normally sees Timothy Mouse atop a 'Dumbo' ride, cracking his whip. But here, the tables are turned, with Dumbo overseeing the ride. Timothy must have been sent to the churro mines. Is that Rock-O-Plane ride an actual in-game ride, or a static creation? It's very realistic.

Hi, Roberta (is the ME required?). Don't stay away so long next time! ;-) Yes, I did read about your early computer programming experience. You've got me beat, I never ventured into machine language. The HEX numbers, alone, left me scratching my head. I used a few machine language subroutines that others had already written; but that's about it. Thanks for the comment!

Mmmmm, asbestos. "It's a burning building!". "No, it's a dessert topping!". "You're both right; It's a burning building and a dessert topping!" (Anybody?). I remember there was asbestos sprayed on the ceiling of our unfinished basement when I was a kid in the 1950s. My dad put a swing down there so I would have something to do on rainy days. I would get going as high as I could in the swing and hit the ceiling with my feet and then watch as little bits of asbestos rained down... Good times.
  10. Sooo, 27 might refer to the 27th type of shop in the game? I knew it must have been something earth-shattering like that.😛
  11. I like that little balcony above the Gifts & Treasures shop. I also like the variety of colors here. Not sure what the significance of "Sept. 27th" is?
  12. I didn't know that the Stygian Witches employed flying pink elephants to do their bidding.😛 The 'drippy' trees and mosses add an element of eeriness to the ride.
  13. Elch!... Sorry, TrimoParks! So glad you found ParkCrafters. I followed your park threads on SGW, and commented on them fairly regularly. I too, had a burnout and stopped posting updates in my SGW threads. I think I'm finally getting my motivation back. I hope you do, too!

Looks like a real, honest to goodness, park now; without all the kid-trippers.
  15. I love the lighting in Hades. And I love the colors in Pegasus. (I'm just a lovable kind of guy.😛) The blue, white, and gold look very Olympian!
  16. Geez, that animated face is terrifying! So many of the illustrations from that era are that way, not sure why. (I'm thinking of the Steeplechase Park guy.😬) I'm wondering what the "Dewdrop" is; some sort of freefall ride? It's nice to see some input from JPAlmighty. 🙂
  17. Nice park! Lots of trees, which always adds to the appearance and feel of a park. I notice that you use just a little bit of custom content, like the Flying Scooters ride. But mostly it's in-game stuff. Is this to cut down on lag, or some other reason? Just curious. Also, it looks like you used "black" text in your story, rather than "default" (not really sure about that). When using the site's dark theme the text pretty much disappears and we have to switch to the white background to read it.🙂
  18. I'll echo what wolfpaw said. The turquoise and purple night-lighting really captures the Pandora look. One of my favorite movies.
  19. You can't fool us, citytrader. That vintage daytime pic is just an old faded postcard. Does the Illusionist or Bostock's have a working interior of some sort? I would guess a restaurant or restroom; anything to get the peeps to go inside.
  20. Hi. 🙂 So, many of the things in the New Topic/Comment box are easy to understand, like Text Size, Bold, etc.. But is there a tutorial somewhere (here or elsewhere) that explains what all the features are and how to use them? Like, are there any other Fonts we can use besides the default? What can I do with the Code "</>" icon? Things like that. I'd like to be able to use all the features that ParkCrafters has to offer when posting new topics or comments, to make things more interesting for the readers. If I knew the name of the engine that this site is structured on, I could probably find a pre-existing tutorial somewhere online. Or perhaps some nice (and knowledgeable) person here can clue me in? I think others would be interested in this as well.

Looks much nicer now, Wowman. Although, I kinda sorta would have enjoyed seeing the kids falling down everywhere.😛 (I know they don't actually trip over stuff in the game.)
  22. A preview of things to come!
  23. Sounds pretty interesting to me! Looks like 'the gang' is getting back together here on ParkCrafters. Yay! Welcome citytrader.

The kids are gonna be tripping over those path markers every few seconds. 😛

Thanks, Wagi. I do try to look at everything and comment on it (when the Muses smile upon me). Comments are the lifeblood to any site, especially so, to sites where creativity is the main focus. Hi, Plokoon. Nice to see you here, too! Hey, Wowman. Yeah, I think we both registered here on the same day. I haven't been posting here much, yet. I wanted to get comfortable with all the newness first. And I think I'm gettting to that point now. Thank you, wolfpaw. And thank you for this site! Hi, shyguy. I'm glad to be here. I know that our birthdays are just a day or two apart, but you're still in your 60s (I think). I'm in my 70s now. You're just a wee lad. 😛 Oh, and I liked the SGW smileys better, they were easier to see; simpler lines and with more contrast. Maybe it's just my 'oldster' eyes.
