December 3Dec 3 I bought RCT3 a few days ago from Steam to relive the nostalgy and it works pretty well, but i cant save my game. it has an error saying: "Failed to open file. It may be set to Read-Only, you may have insufficient access rights, or the hard disk may be full." I checked to see if i have a RTC3 folder in my documents and didn't found one, i think that is mainly the issue. also my documents folder is in my OneDrive i dont know why (and i disabled the sync to the cloud). maybe it just cant find a path? i have absolutely no idea.I saw a lot of very old threads asking about this issue and none of the solutions that worked for them worked for me, i have a relatively new computer running WIN11 with no extra security software just the regular windows securityif someone has any idea how to fix it that could be helpful :)
December 4Dec 4 Welcome to ParkCrafters! Yes, RCT3 can be played on Windows 11! I currently use Windows 11 and can run the game just fine.It sounds like you have configuration files all over the place and will need to uninstall RCT3 and reinstall it on one of your internal storage drives instead of OneDrive. Which version of RCT3 are you using? Complete Edition from Steam or an original disc version? there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really
December 9Dec 9 Author Thank you very much, i was honestly surprised that the community of RCT3 is still active😂I'm using the steam version, i uninstalled and reinstalled the game countless times and it still didn't want to save my game. i installed it on my C drive and my secondary drive and it did nothing. everything works just cant save my game. i noticed it didn't create a folder for RCT3 in my documents no matter how many time i reinstalled it,i gave up
