I have worked on this drive-in theatre scene for a long time off and on and want others to see and give feedback. Many objects are other peoples creations such as pizza boxes, hotdogs, props and equipment which I've combined such as foods inside the displays, too many people to list here individually, my thanks to them for sharing their work. If you see something in the scene you've created it would be great if you point it out. Those who create objects and scenes know how much work goes into putting a scene together even when using available objects. The playground equipment, speaker poles as well as any objects combined with stock building materials are my creations with the exception of the merry-go-round.

This is just another example of what can be done playing around with non amusement park creations and I personally think it's come along fairly well. One thing that is obviously missing are the people, I haven't gotten to the point of trying to add paths or how to even make that work, any input is appreciated.

Thanks for viewing.

Very VERY cool!

This is just like the drive-in we used to have when I was a kid...even the layout is about the same, just need a spot to pull over before the entrance to hide a couple people in the trunk.

You've certainly captured the feeling for it overall otherwise...only other things missing are the occasional cars with the windows rolled up that you couldn't see inside because of the fumes, and the odd post with missing speakers (likely found as a pair next to the rear window on someone's car...handy for that cool stereo sound from your new 8-track player...).

Even the over-priced fay old pizza and hot-dogs are there!  Great job!

That's exactly what I was hoping for. I too can relate to all the comments you made. I grew up in the 60's and was a teen in the 70's going to the DI with all my friends, the family and I still go to the DI to this day saw Guardians of the Galaxy and Little Mermaid just last weekend, so been there done that, except it's a lot different today then how it was back then. ah the memories lol! Thanks man!

I have never seen a drive-in theater in a TPS before. Very inspiring and very well done.

Thank you for the kind words.

Freakin' awesome project! I love seeing environmental scenes like this from Planet Coaster!

Not sure if I'm the only one, but I can't unsee the drive-in theater scene from Twister when I see this ? Very well done!!

there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really

Thank you for the compliment! I couldn't think of what to call it other then a "scene" but I like the term "environmental scene".

Twister is a great movie, I haven't been at a DI when one was happening but there was a DI we used to go to in Missouri that closed down after a tornado took out the screen and did some damage to the concession stand. The family never rebuilt and sold the property, something else is standing in it's place now but I can't remember what. Many DI's closed down and became Wal-marts or shopping centers, sad.

I've never even been to a drive-in before, never even seen one in person! Also, yay - another Twister fan!! ?️

This is freaking awesome!!

Like Wolfpaw mentioned, the big scene in the movie Twister pops into my head when I see this.

Although I've seen these in person before, I've never been to one. Drive-In Theatres re-emerged when covid hit and regular Theaters closed its doors - at least in my area.

Well Done! 👍

There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow; shining at the end of every day.
