Sorcery Pack (Basically Harry Potter pack)
I mean to some extent i even understand that. But my thoughprocess behind this is: we got promised this huge new feature of switch tracks. Turns out on release it was nothing like we expected, was very limited, only available on 1 coaster model and the novelty wore off fairly quick with that. Fast forward 11 months, the most requested feature swing launches is finally making it into the game we imagined it, but frontier then decided to put that in the dlc. To me atleast it just feels kinda off tbh :/ This is something again where i dont understand why frontier did it this way. They completely removed the option from the squencer to simulate nighttime on dark rides. How are people without rt supposed to make any dark rides then? My gpu luckily supports that feature but just yesterday the global illumination setting was crashing on my newest nvidia driver. So yeah im currently forced to play without rt and without any possibilites to simulate darkness inside rooms

Sorcery Pack (Basically Harry Potter pack)
tbh i do like the theme of the pack a lot. maybe because im a big hp fan or maybe because i was thinking about building such an area for some time now. but i also have to be very honest that i did expect something more towards a spooky set which in my opinion would also be more versatile for different themes. what i realy dont like is the swing launch "feature" now being locked behind a paywall and frontier simply going the easy route once again. instead of giving us this feature of all switch tracks, maybe even expand switch tracks to other ride models they decided to again put up limitations. the deciding factor if im gonna get this dlc depends on the patch notes and how the game runs when the updates out. i think the flying theatre is a step in the right direction. we dearly need more of these modern and/or themepark flatrides. on a last note, i think now with the dlc dropping next week there will be no spooky this year. if they go for the 3 months release schedule id guess they will give us a christmas thingy in december and maybe leave spooky for next years season.

Welcome to Wonderverse
Hey everyone :D sorry for not posting that much lately, i honestly just didnt feel very motivated to write big posts or anything. just havent been feeling that well. i did however wanted to make a short post here about something new i did in the park. so i have this one big show building in my park, i was using it as a placeholder in the hopes of sometime being able to add a cinema flatride or something into it. however that showbuilding was just way to big and felt very missplaced in its location. ive decided to completely teardown said building and replace it with something new and much more exciting :) My idea was to build a mack stryker coaster and try to squeeze it into this very limited space. Space in itself was one of the biggest challenges in this new addition to the park. i did realy enjoy having that challenge of trying to get the most out of the space i had, it honestly contributet a lot in how the final coaster came out. next challenge was trying to come up with a theme or idea i could follow. so i came up with the idea of the "Grand hall of exhibition", an old industrial factory building where the greatest inventors come together for the inventors fair to showcase their newest machines. This is where Exhibition 77 comes into play. Professor Voltarius invites guests to showcase his new teleportation machine! I honestly also love the view from the mythology area much more. instead of looking at a green wall behind the buildings there is a now a beatifull skyline painted by coaster tracks. I hope you like this small update and as always i encourage you to go download the park and check the queue and ride out for yourself :) till next update where i will continue with the showcase of my areas

Update 7 News
the scaling option is always there. for example i can select a building group with nongridded and gridded items, yet when i scale it it only affects the scaleable pieces. regarding the update. i honestly dont know what to think about it. rotating gridded pieces is nice, however this was something i expected to have been in the game anyway since release. same goes for recoloring paths. yeah its great but like cmon this is nothing groundbreaking realy :/ same for the square queue paths. we have been left with what we had for 11 months now, we found ways to work with what we have and even resorted to using stamps. i cant get myself hyped for basic stuff like this. yes its cool and will make our lifes easier in a way but yeah its just that for me realy. the hint towards swing launches is exciting however i fear we gonna get one coaster model and its gonna be limited to that one model and thats it, just like the switch tracks etc. i cant stop thinking about where we would actually be if the game didnt release in the state it did and if frontier didnt had to "waste" 11 months of times and ressources to bring the game up to par with the first one and truly make it feel like yes this is the second entry to the franchise and takes everything from the first and makes it better

Can we change which side the catwalk appears on?
Ive looked a bit closer at catwalks in the game and honestly i doubt we will ever see this changed. They apparently dont even care to make the catwalks realistic in anyway… even the struts are done so lazy. Like whats supposed to happen here? Doors the wheel assembly have some crazy technology to turn transparent and clip trough these?😂

NO MORE UNLOCKED STREAMS.....
i have about 5 rides where all my triggers are messed up and i cant fix them cause everything is mixed up :/ and if after 2 months they dont come forward with a huge list of bug fixing in general then i might look for other games to main :(

NO MORE UNLOCKED STREAMS.....
I absolutely feel you. I miss the times where we had literally devs sitting in streams explaining to us how they developed certain system of the game. Meanwhile planco 2 has certain features that were never even explained to us how they actually work… I just want to leave this video here for nostalgia purposes :) Its realy mindblowing when you realise there is about 20-30 hours of content that was streamed to us all related to planco 1, workshop creations, community feedback or dev deep dives. That was the frontier i fell in love with back then
-
NO MORE UNLOCKED STREAMS.....
Its not just frontier, its parts of the community aswell. Zero expectations, zero standards. Thats the exact reason why the gaming industry is turning for the worse. „you are not entitled to expect anything“ „calling them out isnt a healthy customer-company relationship“ These people clearly just dont care at all, just like frontier… And then franchises get bad releases, bad reception and get put to the grave. Ill be laughing my bum off when planco 3 comes around and ends up beeing the final nail to the coffin. The themepark genre was so dry for such a long time, and still is. I was realy happy with what frontier did with planco 1 and now they seem to throw that all away. Uts like shyguy said, the franchise is amazing but its in the wrong hands currently

GAME DEAD
Man i dont mean to bash other platforms or their users. But the frontier discord is just so full of defensive people. Whenever i write anything slightly critical i have the same 4-5 users jumping in trying to come up with excuses, workarounds and „oh it cant be that bad“. Even worse they joke at people voicing criticism and keep making fun of that criticism. Ive never felt more alienated from a franchise or its community… Glad i found this place tbh

NO MORE UNLOCKED STREAMS.....
Very well said broski👍🏽

GAME DEAD
Didnt think id be commenting on this thread. But after seeing what frontier has just pulled on us i totally agree. This appears to be the start of frontiers downfall and degradation of their quality… no more livestreams so we are left in the vacuum again… what feels like the 50th time sinde this game came out

what expansion pack you love to see come to planet coaster 2
One thing i realy like about rct3 was the diversity. We had old rides, new rides and even prototype rides that at the games releasetime havent even been built yet. I wouldnt mind having such a variety coming back to pc but i doubt it :/

what expansion pack you love to see come to planet coaster 2
But add to that also a complete rework of the existing ones, implementing guests getting actually wet and moving away from the horrible premade pieces that are way to steep and uncreative :D

what expansion pack you love to see come to planet coaster 2
Yeah tbh im feeling the same way. You can also see this in the dropping player numbers once again. Frontier was finally reaching higher bumber again but then decided „hey 2 months of nothing there you go“. Steam forums also seems to get less and less community interactions… I also think that the showcased „challenge“ mode is just another big miss and hints at them again not having any clear direction with the game. Out off all things we asked for and suggested, challenge mode? I mean i read a lot of comments, forums posts an such and challenge mode was one thing i surely didnt see often at all. Could be that they didnt have anything else to show, but then still i think there could have been shared more about what they are working on. Wouldnt have hurt anyone, but this way again, its hurting the community

Welcome to Wonderverse
hey everyone :D realy excited to show off the new entrance area this time. i think it turned out realy good. i was kinda afraid that it wouldnt fit or i wouldnt be able to realy come up with something fitting but im keen to hear what you all think of it. i have made many shots along the building progress so you all can realy see the progress troughout the different building stages. Theres still some small details missing but i also have some more closeup shots to share :) I think so far the style fits much better and just goes perfectly along with the main hub areas theme. ive also managed to fit in a new small darkride and find a place for the alien encounter "prop ride". i still have to fill out the buildings with staff rooms, restaurants, gift shop and info stand but i will do that at a bit of a later point. enjoy the closeup shots and let me know what you think of the whole rebuild. And dont forget to download the park and check it out yourself, update is going live right now! CJK-KLR-C6L

what expansion pack you love to see come to planet coaster 2
man i realy would love to get more content and new features. however i realy cant get myself excited for it at all at this point. maybe im stubborn but i think frontier still has so much untouched potential in the game that they havent turned in yet. special rack pieces for all coasters, actually remove the track limitations, expanding the diversity in the restaurant menu item options, add souvenir items for the returned themes, actually for once realy improve the workshop, improve guest ai and pathfinding furher, rework moving platforms and the horrible sequencer, rework the horrible water ride pieces, small details like making guests actually get wet on water rides, start adding QOL improvements... and im not even gonna start about all the bugs we still have and the, in my opinion, horrible perfomance that just doesnt feel any better in bigger parks compared to planco 1. new content, yay. working out and improving what is already there, quadruple yay.

Welcome to Wonderverse
i actually did think at some point of expanding the gondlheim area with a smaller additional area built like isle of berk. i did hold back on that idea to not bloat up the area too much though. and thanks for the feedback also regarding the post lenght, ill try to do that better in the next post then :) thanks broski, i realy appreciate the extensive explanation and feedback you give me. i do admit that this is actually something i struggle with also in music production, where i tend to always add more and more stuff to my tracks that actually arent realy needed. it could also be related to me looking at my own park for soooooo many hours at this point that to me it doesnt look like to much sensory overload with all the scenery and buildings etc. i will try to implement your ideas in the future 2 areas that i have planned to do :) i will also try to make the next deep dive better in terms of spacing out the screenshots better.
-
Welcome to Wonderverse
nah all good. thats the kind of feedback i like to hear :) sometimes we are so entangled in our own creations that we loose the eye for such small things that could be done better. so i realy appreciate that and i will certainly look into making that specific area you mentioned a bit more "exciting" for the eye, like youve said, break the repetition a bit there.

Welcome to Wonderverse
So far ive spent 2k hours in planco 2, id say about 1500 hours was just pure building and running the park, watching guests ride the rides etc :) Thanks a lot for your positive feedbackl, much appreciated. Yeah i honestly wasnt happy with how it looked too. like you said, its something that so many people have done, its was obviously the easiest starting point when starting a new park. but i also have to admit i just didnt like how it looked, didnt realy nail the mainstreet look and lacked many many details. I hope you like what i have in store for the new one :) Thanks man! i honestly would love to create some kind of ride sequence however the sequence and triggers are just so utterly horrible and user-unfriendly that i just cant see myself wasting hours upon hours to create such a thing. also the lack of animations with the platforms doesnt help a lot. for example i cant slide down the inner tube to reveal the alien and make it stay open for several minutes because the vertical platform lacks the basic option of move, stay for x amount of seconds, revert into start position. maybe in the future when frontier reworks this feature i might go back and make the complete show :)

Welcome to Wonderverse
Hey guys :) So before i start sharing images of the newly reworked entrance i wanted to do the Gondlheim deep dive first. First off lets start with and overview of the whole world. As you can see the whole area is layed out in a way where guests can actually walk around the whole area and end up at the worlds entrance/exit again. Immediately after walking trough the gates guests are met with an amazing view on Ymirs wrath winding itself trough the landscape and steep basalt rock walls. Our tour is going to the right side, trough the gates of Gondlheim straight into the village. Here guests get to experience the real immersion beginning. Theres also a small shop located in one of the huts, selling souvenirs and hats to guests. Next up we continue following the path but take a right after the "Feasting Hut", the areas only Restaurant so far. Next to it is also located one of the family flatrides, the magical battering ram. A Flatride based on a machinery that the villagers of Gondlheim have built to knock down some of the massive basalt rock walls to expand their village. Here we split into the path leading into Gondlheims first expansion, the Trevakr ride area. Trevakr, a name inspired by nordic language from tre (tree) and vakr (guardian) so Treeguardian, is a wooden CGI Coaster which was added to the area after the parks opening. It offers a high speed thrilling ride with many airtime pops, fast banking turns and that typical Woody roughness feeling. The station i drew inspiration from Wodan at EuropaPark, which to this day still is one of my favorite wooden rides. I will try to include some screens of the queues aswell in this deep dives but i want to try to not spoil everything for you guys :) Right after exiting the ride, guests have the opportunity to shops for ride photos or souvenirs related to Trevakr. Back at the feasting hut path split, this time we go up the stairs taking the path leading into Gondlheims inner plaza. This narrow path leads us up right next to the second launch hill of Ymirs wrath, offering stunning views of the coaster racing up closesly against the massive basalt rock walls. Connected to this path is also the Entrance to the Mistery Tower, a currently defunct double launch tower. Defunct because for some reason these two rides are bugged. guests pay 1 euro to ride but next day loading up the game they wont pay that anymore but happily pay the "cheap price" set at 8 euros. i realy dont know whats going on here but for now i just keep them closed :/ We also cannot turn off the stupid lights that are built into the rides so i cant even get complete darkness inside the tower... but oh well, i tried to do the best possible. Guests are taken into the laboratory of this crazy viking trying to use the power within Gondlheims core to power his machinery. The main queue hall is themed accordingly with many laboraty equipments, strange machinery, crazy power generators and so on. Next up is the inner plaza of Gondlheim, a place created to offer guests a small cozy place to take some time off and relax. Many opportunities to get some food and drinks aswell as the ymirs wrath souvenir and ride photo shop located here. Gondlheims main attraction ofcourse is Ymirs Wrath, a Coaster themed around the God Ymir and his power and uncontrollable longing for power. Its a high speed coaster with 3 Launches. The Coaster itself doesnt offer any big drops or high points of view, however it makes up for that with its close to the ground layout, winding trough fast turns and many near misses with all the scenery around it. overall it offers an amazing immersive experience and is very unqiue kind of ride in the wonderverse park. LAst but not least is Rogue Trader: the return. This is Gondlheims Dark ride experience, which i already once went back to rebuild and up the level on its themeing and experience. Before that it was called only Rogue Trader. Guests board magical coaches that the Rogue trader uses to travel to different dimensions and trade his goods. this time though, his village is getting attacked by a dragon and its the guests mission to escape the dangers of the dragons magical firebreath. right on the exit is located the Rogue Trader gift shop also. So this is it :) ngl it was kinda hard to decide what pictures im gonna show off, what pictures realy help tell the story and what areas i try to show off. I hope this deep dive is good enough this way, so do give me feedback on this type of post to let me know what i could improve upon. Next up is gonna be the showcase of the entrance and mainstreet rework/rebuild. Do let me know what area you want a deep dive into after that :D We still have the Explorers Hub, Jurassic Park and Apollonia left to explore

Welcome to Wonderverse
Thank you all so much for all the nice comments, i was realy happy to read such nice feedbacks regarding my creations. especially because sometimes we get so critical with viewing our own creations but this def shows me im doing something right with the project :D i think so far ive spent about 1600 hours in this park project alone, not only building but also watching the park functioning and guests enjoying the rides :) then i it will be gondlheim first! I have some pictures to share as the mainstreet now is gone with the new buildings starting to move in. i will share a full detailed tour when everything is set in stone! The next post will then focus on a detailed showcase of Gondlheim. im excited to hear what you guys think of it :) Again thank you so much for so many interactions! i dont think i had this many responses in 7 months on my frontier thread. i realy appreciate this a lot PS: a small Teaser of an (non-functional) Attraction coming soon to Explorers Hub

Welcome to Wonderverse
Apollonia Apollonia is a themed world designed and oriented at the greek area in europa park, while also implementing a lot of my own ideas with the architecture of the buildings. For the buildings i drew heavy inspiration from the houses in AC odyssey. i wanted to have a more interesting look and more details on the facades than for example the buildings in europa park. This area was also part of the opening day lineup and featured the very first water ride in Wonderverse. Upon entering trought he portal guests are greeted with an amazing view over poseidons lake, with Hermes' huge lifthill towering in the backdrop. Hermes is currently the highest and fastest coaster in the park, a true B&M hyper! in contrast to that, Apollonia also offers some exciting rides for younger guests and families. Jurassic Park This is the first themed world where i actually implement a big IP. It was realy a lot of fun trying to nail down that architectural style of JP and the movies. The discovery center is basically the main focal point of this whole area, offering eating options, souvenir shopping, a MR. DNA section for guests to learn more about dinos and DNA sampling and much more. VelociCoaster, the areas main attraction, is visible over the whole explorers hub, giving guests a bit of an orientation point of where to travel. The area is rounded off with a lot of greenery to fully immerse guests in the feeling of being in a tropical region. this area is still somewhat under construction as i have to finish the river adventure and discovery center, they both still lack some major details etc. As always i encourage everyone to download the park and explore it themself :D the current version is on the workshop under this link and code: https://workshop.frontierstore.net/mod/item/7451979837594815117 CJK-KLR-C6L Please let me know what you think of the project so far. id love to exchange some ideas, hear about a coaster maybe reminds you of a real life visit, share some thoughts that come to your mind or whatever pleases you :) i hope to get some more comments and interactions here and i plan to do some more detailed posts also. let me know which area you want me to showcase a deep dive first :)

Welcome to Wonderverse
Welcome everyone, welcome to Wonderverse "Travel trough portals into magical worlds, discovering secrets as mystery unfurls" This is my Megapark Project for Planet Coaster 2. So this is still my only park ive started and plans are to push this trough till the final and complete it with all planned areas, no matter how low the fps drop 🤪 Basically im going here for the same idea like i did in planco 1, its one big megapark with some of my favorite real life rides ive experienced, rides which are heavily inspired by real life rides i hope to one day ride and also a lot of stuff coming from my own imagination. To make it a bit different from my frontier forum thread i want this time to also provide a lot of background thoughts, stories i cam up with and also talk about where i draw my ideas from :) Wonderverse is a park which trough its main hub has different portals leading into different themed worlds. Its like epic universe but i guess maybe on a bit bigger scale in terms of how streched out the themed worlds are. Currently the park consists of 4 Areas: Explorers Hub Gondlheim Apollonia Jurassic Park In this first post my goal is to give a bit more of an overview on the whole park. in the later posts i will go more into detail on the themed worlds and their attractions So lets head off right trough the Entrance into this epic journey! Entrance/Mainstreet For the Entrance Building i went with a heavily inspired creation like europa park. Combining the Entrance gates with the Monorail on top somehow always works when we dont know where to start our park. Guests have the entrance gates straight into mainstreet, left and right are guest services and parking tickets. The park also has a Conference Building for special events right next to the entrance. On top of the ticket booths we see a big statue of Atlas , the carrier and protector of the Wonderverse. Theres also a dedicated Staff entrance on the far left side, leading into the backstage areas with breakrooms, Office buildings and the logistics center. The Mainstreet, inspired by the classical disney mainstreets, is the leading path into the explorers hub. Its decorated with many colorfull buildings, small and intricate little details and houses many souvenir shops and restaurants. The entrance to the monorail service is also located in the mainstreet, right to the lft hand side when entering. The whole mainstreet is my first area ive started with when getting planco 2, so to me it is one of the areas i like less because i see many things i could have done differently or better. thats why the whole entrance and mainstreet area is subject to change and will probably get a complete rebuild in the coming months. im going to build something different this time and go for a different style of "mainstreet" instead of the disney inspired one. Explorers Hub The Explorers Hub is the main distribution point for all the guests to travel into the different themed worlds. Not only does it offer a great variation in attractions but also presents guests with many culinary options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It streches right trough the middle of the park to its far end, having the main gate towering over all the guests in the area. The theme is kind of retro futuristic, inspired a by epic universes main hub area. if offers many visually interesting structures, detailed with many small decorations, golden railings and lots of greenery aswell. i also built a tribute to eurosat (now rethemed to cancan coaster) which is a bit of my own twist on it but the core idea is the same, a big rollercoaster inside this huge epcot like ball. accordingly to the Explorers hub its also themed to spacetravel. the main eye catcher though is probably the portal racers duelling coaster. I also realy like how the paths turned out in this area. the main pathing is made of the brickpaths but layered on top is the actual "mainroads" which perfectly fit the surrounding area with its bright pastel violet coloring. Gondlheim The Gondlheim area is an area heavily inspired by taron and Klugheim. Not only does the mainpart of the world offer a complete immersive 360 themed world, it also is home to some of the most intense rides of the park. A high speed multilaunch coaster, a double freefall tower in complete darkness, an immersive and exciting dark ride or even a wooden coaster, you can find it all here. The themeing ranges from steep basalt rock structures over to a complete village complex right in the heart of gondlheim. i realy loved the idea of klugheim, having a coaster in the heart of the area but integrating it so seamless with all the scenery around it, i had to try my own twist on this! Part 2 post coming soon with the Jurassic Park and Apollonia area.
