  1. Now that we've found a quiet spot to rest our feet... It's time to retrace our steps back to Victory Field's Main Gate... (Yep, I know Disney would have tried to avoid a dead-end path, but in this case it was either that or an exceptionally long and boring path clear to the otherside, so I went with the dead-end...) There's a sign directing us to Camp Lehigh...the name might ring a bell... Picnicking area ahead... Inside the large hangers are several flat rides...first up is The Flying Ducks Hosted by none other than Donald Duck... Followed by the Junior Flight Trainer for the little ones... Quonset huts with food services line the road...gate to Camp Lehigh in the background... If you turn to the right just before that gate there's a quiet area with food, restrooms and a great view of the coaster... Now we come to Camp Lehigh itself...a special Strategic Science Reserve area of Victory Field... The posters give a hint as to it's purpose... (Yep, Disney Synergy on full display here!) Cap himself displaying some special moves for visitors... Camp Lehigh features two flat rides - Elixir and Psychia. Outside of Victory Field there's a path leading to the Walt Disney Studios, or further down will cross the railroad tracks to the Seaside Boardwalk are of the park... There's a secondary gate to Victory Field located along the way... Now it's time to visit the next area...Seaside Boardwalk 1890, a celebration of ocean boardwalks, turn of the century amusement parks, and America's favorite - the Circus! That's it for this edition...
  2. Well over 25 years and you STILL haven't gotten rid of me! Much like three day old leftover burritos, I keep coming back up I guess. I tend to linger on... RCT Station, RCT Depot, Atari Forums I, SGW, Atari Forums II, Frontier and assorted others I don't recall...exterminators have been kept busy all these years. Yes, I'm living proof that old people can still....um...er...what was I saying? Who are you whippersnappers and what the hell am I doing here? Get off my lawn!
  3. While we're here, I'll add a few night-time shots of this area...
  4. Now onto the next part of this bench...Victory Field 1943... This area is a tribute to the World War 2 era, however we wanted to kind of distance it from the "Allies vs Axis" theme and go instead from the angle that this airfield is mainly for training. The main coaster (yes, there finally IS a coaster in this park...) is V for Victory, and while it does include flying through a battlefield the 'enemy' isn't noted. I think that's how Disney would likely have handled it. Animated characters show up in this area because they were a big part of Disney's war effort, and because it's located so close to the Hyperion Studios section. Let's start the tour... The main gate... Behind is the headquarters building. At this time the Air Force was still a part of the regular US Army... Heading down a path lined with military equipment... Quonset huts feature assorted shops and guest services facilities such as restrooms and first aid stations... Our first ride...Wild Blue Yonder The USO served service personnel, a job it also performs here at Disney America... There's a side entrance that leads back to Hyperion Studios... Heading past Wild Blue Yonder to the back corner of the area, water tower, shops on the right, main hanger building for V for Victory coaster on the left... Interior of the hanger with station... Heading out to the main runway... Control tower signals you're cleared for take-off... Barrage balloons to be avoided as well as fighters ready for a dog-fight... Watch out for gun emplacements along the cliffs! Luckily we made it back to Victory Field and a safe landing... Past V for Victory the path continues... Ahead is the Victory Canteen Food Court... Around the corner is the Disney Theater, showing the war-time animated feature "Victory Through Air Power"... Several more Quonset huts before our next ride - Flying Ace! A quiet rest area at the end of the path... We'll pause and rest ourselves before we move on to explore the other half of Victory Field... ("V for Victory" coaster was a Workshop find called "argentum 2" by DarthFart that I tweaked and added on to....)

Now THAT is a realistic entrance! Well done!
  6. Wabigbear replied to SearchN's topic in Projects
Very VERY cool! This is just like the drive-in we used to have when I was a kid...even the layout is about the same, just need a spot to pull over before the entrance to hide a couple people in the trunk. You've certainly captured the feeling for it overall otherwise...only other things missing are the occasional cars with the windows rolled up that you couldn't see inside because of the fumes, and the odd post with missing speakers (likely found as a pair next to the rear window on someone's car...handy for that cool stereo sound from your new 8-track player...). Even the over-priced fay old pizza and hot-dogs are there! Great job!
  7. While these were created for the project Citytrader and I have been working on, he mentioned that several people had been looking for something similar, so here's an early release of some of my TMTK creations. If fact, these were my very FIRST... Lucky you. First up is....drumroll please...a Barber Pole! Not just ONE Barber Pole...but TWO! A small one... https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2455466702&searchtext=barber And a larger one... https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2455467565&searchtext=barber But wait! If you act now we'll throw in this THIRD version ABSOLUTELY FREE! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2455468396&searchtext=barber Yes, it shines in the dark...isn't that AMAZING??? (Not that it shines in the dark but that I actually figured out how to make it shine in the dark...). Now, the usual fine print: These objects are based in part on a similar Barber Pole available in the SketchUp Warehouse. Tweaks and wholesale remaking by moi, textures by moi, inspirations totally based on the original creator who's name didn't appear on the file and which no longer seems to be available sadly. The fact that I managed to take something, tweak it, managed to figure out how to use Blender, created textures, made them actually line up correctly on a cylinder, AND get it imported with the TMTK Editor AND actually show up in the game, while astounding in it's own right should not be inferred that further similar items may or may not be forthcoming in the "future" (AKA whenever I get around to it...). Okay, so I lied. I DID make more items. Sorry! Anyways, I hope the one or two people who might actually find a use for these enjoy them...
  8. For some reason when copying and pasting the text from sgw, the screenshots show up as links rather than enbedded...not sure what I did wrong, but I'll try to figure it out and fix it!

  11. Disney's America Park Project Thememaker's Toolkit Releases By Citytrader and Wagi With the release of the individual benches from our lengthy Disney America project, I wIll be showing some of the Thememaker's Toolkit items created for this work, these items were used on several of the benches. Besides the glass block wall set Citytrader released previously, and the Barbershop Pole set I released (both have their own threads here...), there are 588 640 additional items. Yes, 588 640 items ...we've been busy... All these items had been uploaded to the Steam Workshop previously and have now been made public. For anyone who might want to download and explore each bench as it is finally released can avoid having to find and download 588 640 individual files from the Workshop by downloading zipped copies of the items we'll make available later on. That way you can unzip and install the files directly yourself. There's about 15 individual zipped folder, broken up alphabetically for the most part. I'll post a screenshot showing what is in each zip. Here is the link to the Disney America TMTK Folder on Drive... https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/175wiNXMPaKe7X8cDaRzK8nzuSScL2VWk?usp=sharing For those who don't want to install everything but see something in a screen shot you might be able to use, you are free to pick and choose what you install this way as well, or download it from the Workshop First I'll point out that I am NOT a graphic designer! I didn't even know how to use Blender when I started (and still don't know how to use it well...) Most of these items are relatively simple, many we used rather than using billboards as those have a marked impact on game performance for some people. Some files may be a little on the heavy side texture-wise, some items will no doubt have bloopers, the way the Toolkit Editor is set up precludes making many changes later, thus why some bloopers remain even after we noted them later. Many items may not suit your purposes, but they usually suited ours and we're happy to share if you can make use of them too... Most items will use "DA-" in their name. A few made earlier use "Banner" instead, and there's a set of "ColonialTopper" pieces as well. There's also a couple strays that ended up with a misspelled title like "DA_" or "DA0"...hey, I have fat fingers... So the first set I'll share a screenshot of is "DA Set Misc". This includes items with numbers in their titles, "Banner" or "ColonialTopper", along with a couple oddballs. 75 items, 10.9MB (download link to be added soon...) Lot's of US flags with varying number of stars and sizes, Depression Era posters, Disney America banners, 1939 New York World's Fair posters, comic books, 1904 St Louis Fair banners, posters, book, 1930's Ford auto and truck billboards...most items are two-sided with same graphic on the back. Screen of how the Colonial Toppers go together. The large size has a small blooper with a slight gap between the large dark rook and the bottom of the cupola. You can get around it by copying the cupola and lowering the copy down to cover the slight gap...or just pretend it's not there! Blueprints of the assembled Colonial Toppers have been released in the Workshop... They ain't perfect but better I guess than having none which is what Frontier gave us! Trying to wiggle out of any blame, huh? ;D DA Set A 34 Items, 7 MB (download link to follow...again, individual files are currently available from the Workshop...) These are items with names that start with the letter "A" (duh...) Set includes several multi-section cutouts to create an Alp Mountain backdrop, assorted signage from Colonial and 1930/40 periods, assorted historical and National flags, Assorted Art Deco style trims, Automat walls, Aztec Mural, Aquacade Sign, small aquarium block Several pieces at night... DA Set B 58 items, 12.3 MB (download link to follow, currently available in the Workshop...) TMTK Items that have names starting with the letter "B"! Assorted banners, Barber Shop Poles (previously released), 1939 Beechnut Circus signs, assorted historical, British Colonial and national flags, assorted "Brazil Block" walls, Brazil 1939 Coat of Arms, assorted murals by Brazilian artists, Brazil posters, British Empire signage, British Lion decals, BYOWF (Build You Own World's Fair) game box... Some pieces at night... DA Set C 64 Items, 14.4MB TMTK items beginning with the letter "C" Assorted Cafe signs, Canada signs, Canada murals, Old Canadian flag and Coat of Arms, Carnival Wheel, assorted 1930/40 signage, Chernabog cutout, assorted Circus signs, banners, posters, cutouts, circus ring, clown car, assorted New Orleans signage, assorted colonial signs, Coca-Cola logo cutout, Coca-Cola brick wall, Communications Pavilion murals, assorted crates, assorted historical and national flags, crossed USA flags. Select objects at night... There is also four wall pieces (one meter wide, two meter wide, left and right one meter angles), based on Vampiro's wide stripe wall set and used with his kind permission and sharing of his textures. They are not an exact match, but sure worked for our project...thanks Vampiro! There's a special piece I made, it's a clown cannon, and there is a pair of clown legs that fit down inside... (EDIT:) Blueprints of the assembled cannon with clown and decorations, as well as the clown car with lights have been released in the Workshop... DA Set D 24 items, 6.2MB TMTK items beginning with the letter "D" Disney America flag, Disney WWII Posters, Disney cartoon clouds and sun, Disney Studios signs, Art Deco murals (3 parts), Dr Pepper brick wall sign, Dr. Pepper sign, Doctor Office signs, Dentist Office signs, Dry Goods Store decal, quarter Dome piece, Disney plush and ceramic cut-outs for store shelf displays Night-time Poster detail and plush cut-outs Quarter-Dome piece. It's far from perfect, but we used it on the bench with added ribs that covered the bloopers...
  12. Thanks wolfpaw!
  13. I love the fact that you stated that this started out as a very small picnic park and it really reflects that. Often someone will say their park had very small basic beginnings but what they show doesn't reflect that at all. The structures are charming and perfectly scaled...love the Carousel House. And like everyone is saying, the night-time lighting is very well done!
  14. The tag idea might work well. I think it's the way to go, at least in this instance. That way the thread about the TMTK for the Disney America Park stays close to the other Disney America threads showing off the park...does that make sense? I'm not opposed to uploading them here at all, it's just that they are quite large files, there's a bit of information that goes with each of them, and there's a lot of them! LOL! I have a couple small downloads that aren't connected to the Disney America project that I can add to the regular downloads. I might try to add the files to the download section later... Shyguy's had a spot to upload and share Planet Coaster TMTK items, and it had 35 TMTK downloads available...the Workshop has 13.470 available. That's not a reflection on that site, nor this site, nor the idea of uploading TMTK here, I think it's just the reality, uploads of that type are likely to always remain small to forum sites, but who knows what the future might bring?.
  15. Yeah, we've had Dell XPS for years, usually replacing them every couple of years, and never any problems. They work well for my purposes, although this last GPU still struggles with in-game textures on a detailed bench, and that perhaps is due to the game more than the card as the in-game pieces are strict with LOD textures and TMTK items aren't always.
  16. No, all my TMTK items are on the Workshop, but since there are hundreds, and most were used in our Disney America Park, I also had a thread at SGW where I divided them up by groups alphabetically, displayed with a screenshot and a list of what was in each group. Then the groups were also available on Google Drive. That way they didn't have to download TMTK items one-by-one from the Workshop, and they could more easily find certain items they wanted. Here's the thread at SGW: https://www.shyguysworld.com/index.php/topic,21783.0.html What is the best way do you think? I'd like to preserve the information and screenshot(s) for each set. I'm not terribly concerned where they are hosted, no problem if they remain on Google, I just don't want to have to go through and upload each item again! LOL! I've copied the thread from SGW with the links to the screens (hosted on my imgur account), so it's however you think is best...
  17. Was wondering if it might be possible to add a sub-forum for TMTK items to the Planet Coaster forum?
  18. System Dell XPS 8930 Operating System Windows 11 64-bit CPU i7-9700 CPU @ 3.00GHz RAM 16384MB RAM GPU NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 14074 MB Memory Nothing fancy, and it can struggle with large detailed parks like many others experience, but it serves it's purpose as Planet Coaster is really the only game I play on the PC... And yes, I know it's a Dell. But I live in Brazil, HUNDEDS of stores selling TONS of components to build a great computer literally a couple blocks from us...too much of it pirated junk from China with no service if something goes wrong.
  19. SOME interiors...it kind of depended on what could be seen from outside whether I added anything inside or not...LOL! A few of the buildings without interiors just have a flat ride plopped inside to attract peeps and move traffic around on the bench a little. Some have nothing (like inside of the big Ford Pavilion, only the car ride on the exterior exists. I meant to go back and add something inside but never got to it. Other buildings I went all out with a full interior, or some like the Westinghouse Pavilion where the interior is only one tile deep. And there are some buildings that are mainly just facades - some even just hide the tran tracks running behind them. The interiors I did create I know added to the piece count and lag, but in most cases I think it was just worth it. But thanks so much for the kind words!
  20. I think I mentioned before that as a native Washingtonian I think you've definitely are spot on with the PNW vibes in this park. Been fun to watch it grow over the years and it's great that you'll continue that here!
  21. Before we move on to explore Victory Field, here's a few night-time views of Walt Disney Studios... The Studio sign is iconic (available in the Workshop...) Walt Disney Theater with Dumbo flying overhead (and you though being under some pigeons was bad...) Interior shows Mickey shorts... The Big House... Donald and Daisy still going over their lines... Mickey and Minnie invite you over for s'mores... Peg-Leg Pet's ahead... Is that Donald's double??? Still Hi-Ho'ing... Goofy's! Side exit to Victory Field...
  22. Thanks guys! I can't take credit for Mickey's House, that was actually based on "Mickey's Burgers" by ericsnoopy, a blueprint from the Workshop. I tweaked it by removing the back half, taking out the food stalls, changing around the interior and moving things like chimneys and such, but the basic blueprint remains his work. I DID make MIckey's mailbox though! LOL! I then added the little park to try to blend the cartoon with the realistic (-ish)... ericsnoopy also has a couple other similar whimsical Disney-themed blueprints released, in fact Goofy's biplane and the water tower on one of the soundstage roofs are also taken from some of his other blueprints that I kitbashed from... There wasn't really room for an entire 'Toon Town" in this park (and originally we didn't plan on having ANY of the characters, but then realized we're talking about a Disney Park here...but we tried not to overwhelm...). But when I saw these in the Workshop I knew at least one of them really needed to be included. I think it all works well when included with the idea of the Studio where the characters were created.
  23. Continuing on...Donald is one busy duck! He's shooting a feature film outside aboard the SS Leaky Boat Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho! The Seven Dwarfs, Snow White and the Evil Queen greet visitors... Wouldn't be right to forget Steamboat Willie! Goofy has two rides here..."Learn To Fly the Goofy way..." for youngsters, and "Air Goody" for the more adventurous... There's a couple empty Sound Stages across the street (hey, I had to cut back somewhere!)... At the end of the street we leave Hyperion Studios and enter Victory Field, which salutes the Armed Forces of WWII... We'll take another commercial break to give my keyboard a rest...
  24. Exiting Union Station from the 1939 New York World's Fair, we suddenly find ourselves on Hyperion Avenue in sunny Los Angeles. This was shortly before the Disney Brothers moved their studio to Burbank in 1940. The original Studio building I based mine off of. It's not exact, but close... Let's head in through the main gate... Checking Sound Stage 1 we find Donald and Daisy shooting a short feature about Victory Gardens for the war effort... All the Sound Stages are busy it seems! This one features Mickey and Minnie with their private trailers greeting visitors... Across to SoundStage 3, where Chip n' Dale are busy in their treehouse... You can even partake of some good old-fashioned Nut Bread there! Sound Stage 5 houses both a small food court, but also Peg-Leg Pete's Boat Ride (ride at your own risk...) The Studios is also home to the Disney Theater... Which features old Mickey Mouse Shorts on two screens... Above it all is the iconic Disney Studios Sign... Access near the back of the theater leads to the Park's Club 33 members-only dining... The other side features a snack bar... The centerpiece of the Studios...Mickey Mouse's home! (This is such a fun Workshop blueprint!) Car's parked by the garage...might Mickey be home? There's the Big Cheese himself! Looks like Pluto is on guard duty... We'll take a short commercial break... https://imgur.com/6M9mUUJ
