  1. Thanks wolfpaw!
  2. I love the fact that you stated that this started out as a very small picnic park and it really reflects that. Often someone will say their park had very small basic beginnings but what they show doesn't reflect that at all. The structures are charming and perfectly scaled...love the Carousel House. And like everyone is saying, the night-time lighting is very well done!
  3. The tag idea might work well. I think it's the way to go, at least in this instance. That way the thread about the TMTK for the Disney America Park stays close to the other Disney America threads showing off the park...does that make sense? I'm not opposed to uploading them here at all, it's just that they are quite large files, there's a bit of information that goes with each of them, and there's a lot of them! LOL! I have a couple small downloads that aren't connected to the Disney America project that I can add to the regular downloads. I might try to add the files to the download section later... Shyguy's had a spot to upload and share Planet Coaster TMTK items, and it had 35 TMTK downloads available...the Workshop has 13.470 available. That's not a reflection on that site, nor this site, nor the idea of uploading TMTK here, I think it's just the reality, uploads of that type are likely to always remain small to forum sites, but who knows what the future might bring?.
  4. Yeah, we've had Dell XPS for years, usually replacing them every couple of years, and never any problems. They work well for my purposes, although this last GPU still struggles with in-game textures on a detailed bench, and that perhaps is due to the game more than the card as the in-game pieces are strict with LOD textures and TMTK items aren't always.
  5. No, all my TMTK items are on the Workshop, but since there are hundreds, and most were used in our Disney America Park, I also had a thread at SGW where I divided them up by groups alphabetically, displayed with a screenshot and a list of what was in each group. Then the groups were also available on Google Drive. That way they didn't have to download TMTK items one-by-one from the Workshop, and they could more easily find certain items they wanted. Here's the thread at SGW: https://www.shyguysworld.com/index.php/topic,21783.0.html What is the best way do you think? I'd like to preserve the information and screenshot(s) for each set. I'm not terribly concerned where they are hosted, no problem if they remain on Google, I just don't want to have to go through and upload each item again! LOL! I've copied the thread from SGW with the links to the screens (hosted on my imgur account), so it's however you think is best...
  6. Was wondering if it might be possible to add a sub-forum for TMTK items to the Planet Coaster forum?
  7. System Dell XPS 8930 Operating System Windows 11 64-bit CPU i7-9700 CPU @ 3.00GHz RAM 16384MB RAM GPU NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 14074 MB Memory Nothing fancy, and it can struggle with large detailed parks like many others experience, but it serves it's purpose as Planet Coaster is really the only game I play on the PC... And yes, I know it's a Dell. But I live in Brazil, HUNDEDS of stores selling TONS of components to build a great computer literally a couple blocks from us...too much of it pirated junk from China with no service if something goes wrong.
  8. SOME interiors...it kind of depended on what could be seen from outside whether I added anything inside or not...LOL! A few of the buildings without interiors just have a flat ride plopped inside to attract peeps and move traffic around on the bench a little. Some have nothing (like inside of the big Ford Pavilion, only the car ride on the exterior exists. I meant to go back and add something inside but never got to it. Other buildings I went all out with a full interior, or some like the Westinghouse Pavilion where the interior is only one tile deep. And there are some buildings that are mainly just facades - some even just hide the tran tracks running behind them. The interiors I did create I know added to the piece count and lag, but in most cases I think it was just worth it. But thanks so much for the kind words!
  9. I think I mentioned before that as a native Washingtonian I think you've definitely are spot on with the PNW vibes in this park. Been fun to watch it grow over the years and it's great that you'll continue that here!
  10. Before we move on to explore Victory Field, here's a few night-time views of Walt Disney Studios... The Studio sign is iconic (available in the Workshop...) Walt Disney Theater with Dumbo flying overhead (and you though being under some pigeons was bad...) Interior shows Mickey shorts... The Big House... Donald and Daisy still going over their lines... Mickey and Minnie invite you over for s'mores... Peg-Leg Pet's ahead... Is that Donald's double??? Still Hi-Ho'ing... Goofy's! Side exit to Victory Field...
  11. Thanks guys! I can't take credit for Mickey's House, that was actually based on "Mickey's Burgers" by ericsnoopy, a blueprint from the Workshop. I tweaked it by removing the back half, taking out the food stalls, changing around the interior and moving things like chimneys and such, but the basic blueprint remains his work. I DID make MIckey's mailbox though! LOL! I then added the little park to try to blend the cartoon with the realistic (-ish)... ericsnoopy also has a couple other similar whimsical Disney-themed blueprints released, in fact Goofy's biplane and the water tower on one of the soundstage roofs are also taken from some of his other blueprints that I kitbashed from... There wasn't really room for an entire 'Toon Town" in this park (and originally we didn't plan on having ANY of the characters, but then realized we're talking about a Disney Park here...but we tried not to overwhelm...). But when I saw these in the Workshop I knew at least one of them really needed to be included. I think it all works well when included with the idea of the Studio where the characters were created.
  12. Continuing on...Donald is one busy duck! He's shooting a feature film outside aboard the SS Leaky Boat Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho! The Seven Dwarfs, Snow White and the Evil Queen greet visitors... Wouldn't be right to forget Steamboat Willie! Goofy has two rides here..."Learn To Fly the Goofy way..." for youngsters, and "Air Goody" for the more adventurous... There's a couple empty Sound Stages across the street (hey, I had to cut back somewhere!)... At the end of the street we leave Hyperion Studios and enter Victory Field, which salutes the Armed Forces of WWII... We'll take another commercial break to give my keyboard a rest...
  13. Exiting Union Station from the 1939 New York World's Fair, we suddenly find ourselves on Hyperion Avenue in sunny Los Angeles. This was shortly before the Disney Brothers moved their studio to Burbank in 1940. The original Studio building I based mine off of. It's not exact, but close... Let's head in through the main gate... Checking Sound Stage 1 we find Donald and Daisy shooting a short feature about Victory Gardens for the war effort... All the Sound Stages are busy it seems! This one features Mickey and Minnie with their private trailers greeting visitors... Across to SoundStage 3, where Chip n' Dale are busy in their treehouse... You can even partake of some good old-fashioned Nut Bread there! Sound Stage 5 houses both a small food court, but also Peg-Leg Pete's Boat Ride (ride at your own risk...) The Studios is also home to the Disney Theater... Which features old Mickey Mouse Shorts on two screens... Above it all is the iconic Disney Studios Sign... Access near the back of the theater leads to the Park's Club 33 members-only dining... The other side features a snack bar... The centerpiece of the Studios...Mickey Mouse's home! (This is such a fun Workshop blueprint!) Car's parked by the garage...might Mickey be home? There's the Big Cheese himself! Looks like Pluto is on guard duty... We'll take a short commercial break... https://imgur.com/6M9mUUJ
  14. Nope...neither of us have passed away to that "Great Theme Park In The Sky"... Well, I certainly haven't, and Rich always smells like that... Real-life, etc., etc. always tends to intrude. Mine was dealing with osteoarthritis, particularly in my knees. In an effort to stave off knee replacement surgery I had procedures on both knees cleaning up rough surfaces, deadening some nerves, and then some injections, followed by physical therapy sessions. So my time sitting at the computer was limited for awhile. Rich's was keeping awake I think... Then I got bored, and while Rich was trying to finish up adding a few details to the Boardwalk/Victory Field bench, I said I'd clean up a few things on the New Orleans/Enterprise bench... He should never have agreed. As usual, my little 'cleaning up' quickly turned into "oh, this would work here and that might fit in over there" and before you know it I had the whole bench full. (I really need to stop scrolling through the Workshop seeing 'what's new'...it's additive). So Enterprise doubled in size, New Orleans had some major tweaks and I added an entire new area honoring US National Parks (and the Country Bears...). Both benches just need to wait until schools out and Rich manages to find any time to even open the game. But it will be soon...ish. Trust me. In the meantime we'll start our tour of Bench Four THREE- Victory Field, Seaside Boardwalk, Hyperion Studios and whatever else I managed to cram in there. Apologies in advance for the quality of the screenshots, I had them cranked up high, but some things - mostly the in-game textures - turned out muddy. One of the limitations on this game when your park bench is full of details. Now, to spray a little air freshener...Rich is a little 'ripe' today...
  15. Much like day-old burritos, the next bench for this park keeps coming back up... Despite Citytrader's advanced age, this bench hasn't been misplaced along with his spectacles, nor did he wander into it and then forgot what he was going to do... No, I felt the itch myself to work on the bench again, and the ointment I was prescribed didn't clear that up, so rather than continue itching I got busy. I worked a little here, worked a little there...next thing you know the whole darn bench is full. Sort of like my plate in a buffet line... Anyways, Rich was finally able to pry it from my grasp, and for the short time he remembered how the game worked, he tweaked what needed to be tweaked (as opposed to his twerking...nobody wants to see that...) and he looked for my bloopers to fix (which may have taken him days, if not weeks...). But finally the next chapter in the story of our version of Disney's America Theme Park is on the horizon. Probably... In the meantime here's just a tease that there is, in fact, a bench, and it does, in fact, have rides and structures on it...amazing huh? "Seaside 1890 - The Promenade" and "Victory Field 1943" We'll start a new thread to tour this latest bench...
  16. Citytrader wrote: The New York World's Fair Bench is now available for download from Steam; https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2884863470 Don't forget, you will need several hundred (not kidding!!!) CS pieces to fully appreciate what Wagi has created! I added a few rides here and there throughout the park just to get peeps wandering in the right direction! Enjoy this wonderful bench by Wagi! It's truly breathtaking!
  17. The Aquacade is my favorite structure on this bench I think. The seating is based on some I found in the Workshop, but they had individual seats and backs, which didn't match the actual seating (and added up to a LOT of extra pieces!), so I had to strip off all the original seats, add the bench seating, and then duplicate and angle them to fit the space. Then I got the wild idea to color the seating with a palette that went from dark navy blue to almost white, which meant I had to recolor almost the entire structure. I spent almost a month building just this structure (or I should say 'building this structure, tearing it apart and re-building it...repeatedly!) But In the end I think it was worth it, I especially like the two Art Deco towers on each side of the stage... I wish that the in-game lighting was a little better, there's a lot of areas both in the Aquacade and the Fairgrounds that could have used a little more general lighting, but ya gotta work with what ya got I guess...
  18. Cool presentation, and some really well-done screenshots too!
  19. Now that's a clever idea!
  20. A great recap of your work! It's nice to revisit some that we first saw quite a while ago! I'm glad you gathered then all together here!
  21. Your signature park. This is where you've displayed a true mastery of different facets of the game - especially things like terra-forming and terrain painting, attention to sightlines, and just plain over-all details. Truly a master-work in my opinion...
  22. This has been an inspiring project from the get-go. To first see the sketches based on your friends ideas and then watch as you fleshed out those 2D sketches into 3D Planet Coaster...amazing. I don't comment nearly as much as I should or you deserve (I'm terrible at posting much anymore I admit...), but I really like following along on this project. Unlike many of mine where they are kind of organic and just seem to go in different directions, here you've basically followed a vision from the start...I think that's actually harder than just adding whatever pops into your mind while in game!
  23. Just a selection of night-time screenshots... And that brings us to an end of this tour...I hope you enjoyed it! We released this bench and it's available in the Workshop. Be aware that there is a LOT of TMTK items to download, those too are available in the Workshop... The Victory Field bench is done, it includes the Disney Hyperion Studios as well, and also includes the Boardwalk area. We'll take a look at that one next. We haven't shown many screenshots of it as yet. Then there's yet another bench with New Orleans and the Enterprise area that we just finished...whew! I think this project is almost done! Oh wait...there's a corner of the bench over there with nothing on it...
  24. You've been a great supporter on this project Wowman, and it's much appreciated. Thank you for your kind words!
  25. Heading up the stairs to the main level of the fair, we come across the Food Building, sort of a 1939 version of a shopping mall's food court... There's also a copy of the Fair's Coca-Cola Pavilion on the right... Interior of the Food Building... You had a great view across the lake from there. The mural was actually from the Fair... There were actually several of these Food Buildings at the Fair...I only re-created one of them... Between the Food Building and the US Federal Pavilion was a Fair Tram Stop as well as the Coke Building... Based on the historical photo (which is where I also got the idea for the light standards in the back...luckily someone had made similar on the Workshop...) On the other side of the US Federal Pavilion is an ode to the large General Motors Pavilion...here mostly to block a view. LOL! From the other direction... The real Pavilion... Which also featured a GM built locomotive... Both lines of the Disney America Steam Train stopped at the Fair's Union Station...a fantastic Workshop find that I tweaked and enlarged... Pedicabs were also available here... And finally the other entrance/exit leading to the Victory Field and Seaside Boardwalk areas of the park... That ends our quick tour of the 1939 New York World's Fair. There's a lot I didn't show, so you'll have something to look forward to discovering if you download the bench! Next I'll have some night-time screenshots to share. I'm not the best at lighting, but some things just do have a special look after the sun goes down...
