  1. Really nice work on the graphics for your presentation. And that first screenshot is just plain GORGEOUS! So is the last screen... Bravo! (And here in Brazil we have an "Eldorado Mall", so their spelling works! LOL!)
  2. Happy Halloween! And what would be more appropriate for such a macabre day than a stroll through The Haunted Forest ! For those with a low tolerance, there is also a short-cut that will take you directly to the Emerald City... You never know who might be spying on you as you walk along... The mists roll in and you can hear low growls and even a howl in the distance...at least I think it's in the distance...perhaps it's time to walk a little faster? There's yet another shortcut to the EC...how thoughtful of them to add signage directing us there! However, we'll bravely journey on down the Yellow Brick Road... The track for the Emerald Flyer monorail passes overhead... There's a fork in the road that leads to the Falls Overlook on the left...we certainly don't want to overlook that! The YBR will continue on to Winkie Town and The Nome King's Lair... Abandoned mines dot this area...but those who now live here know better than to try to enter the underground realms... Well, "Falls Overlook" turned out to be an appropriate name anyways... A creepy old house next to the falls... Just past that is the back escape (er...entrance...) from to the Nome King's Lair... I don't think we'll go further, while I can appreciate a nice backdoor entrance like anyone, I sometimes prefer the front door myself... So we'll backtrack to the Yellow Brick Road again...looks like a nice picnic area across the river... Restrooms and a landing for the water transport is just ahead... The landing is plain but certainly serves it purpose... A Fortune Teller's cottage tells us we're still in the domain of the Wicked Witch of the West... However let there be no doubt that THIS part of the Haunted Forest (or at least what's under it...) is the domain of the infamous Nome King (even if the Wicked Witch if the East's old billboard still advertises that this land is for sale...). Here's that picnic area we spotted earlier...just missing any picnic tables for some reason... A side path leads to Mombi's Potions... Even disposed witches who were former rulers of Oz need a side-gig to help cover expenses in their retirement! Figures there would be spooky mists if there's a witch around... And there's the old bat herself...ready and willing to sign autographs for a few Oz Green Pennies each in between cooking up batches of Frog Juice...yum! After a bucket of Cauldron Corn washed down with that Frog Juice, we're ready to explore the Nome King's Lair...we're at the main gate...dare we enter? Like the whims of certain other wanna-be rulers, the Nome King's statue out front is grossly exaggerated...he's actually only 4ยด2"...in heels... The Nome King is a huge fan of conspiracy theories...the latest one being that Chicken Eggs are deadly to Nomes...thus no hens allowed on the premises! Whimsies, Growlywogs and Phanfasm's may enter only through the back door, but only if they didn't pack an egg-salad sandwich in their lunchbox. Who doesn't love a good cliffhanger? Or loath a bad one? In either case, we'll leave you hanging while we head on in... Hope we'll see you inside...

That nicely shows off just how intricate this track is! And I still love the redwoods...
  4. Thanks JB! I forgot to mention that the dungeon IS actually tunneled underneath the hill that the castle sits on, and there's another passageway that ramps up to the surface inside the castle. The screens don't show all the animations, bats flying and rats scrambling - there's even red blinking eyes behind the grate on the back wall using Fisherman's gif on a billboard. Peeps will enter the seating area as there is a hidden queue line that snakes through it to a Hoax ride hiding behind the stage... Next up we'll stroll through some more of the Haunted Forest on our way to visit The Nome King's Lair...an hidden city inside of a mountain with a number of attractions, and then explore Winkie Town - ruled by the Wicked Witch of the West herself...
  5. The idea for the Dungeon Divas show came from a sketch for a possible show called "The Dungeon of Forbidden Magic" at the Goddard version of The Wonderful World of Oz Park...my version is loosely based on it.
  6. Now we'll continue to explore the Dungeons, Catacombs...and Points West under the Wicked Witches Castle in the Haunted Forest... Down this gloomy passageway with the sound of dripping water and fluttering bat wings surrounds you... A bank of creaking elevators stands ready to convey the weak-willed to the surface, for beyond lies the Dungeon Divas Dungeon cells stand ready for trouble-makers and hooligans...just our sort of people! We've arrived at our destination...a meeting room for members of the Witches Coven and assorted aspiring witches from throughout the Land of Oz... Inspirational posters and advertisements line the walls... A lovely hostess awaits to show you to your seat... The off-tune musical extravaganza is about to begin! Oh, that cursed brat always manages to muddle up everything! Curses! There's even balcony seating for the large numbers of interested victims...er...visitors we attract! And the view from upstairs ain't bad at all! Why, you can even see the hourglass with the minutes Dorothy has to live trickling away! How fun! But our time...like Dorothy's...runs short, so we'll transport ourselves back the main gate of the Castle and continue on down the Yellow Brick Road...there's more yet to see in the Haunted Forest and it's environs...
  7. I started waaaaaaay back with RCT1 - before it's expansions even. Was a lurker in the community for a bit, but hung out at RCTStation, then RCTDepot, RCT2.com, then the Atari forums, shyguys and then here. Like a nasty case of some social disease I've been hard to get rid of... RCT 1&2 were special as you really had to use your imagination and creativity, but RCT3 for me took it up a notch, first with the 3D, and then later with the addition of custom scenery, which really allowed us to make what we had in our heads. I even held off a bit from moving on to Planet Coaster because RCT3 was such a fulfilling game. And while I did eventually move on to PC, RCT in it's different versions (just 1, 2 & 3 NEVER the train wreck that was World or the money grabs of the other rip-offs...), is still among my favorite games of all time. I'd also mention the importance of the communities supporting these games. There was some great interactions among people, some of whom remain personal friends even decades later. While ParkCrafters may not have as many people (because communities have evolved away from forums for the most part...), it's really nice that it strives to continue that same sense of shared community here.
  8. Nope, no overkill with the flowers, I think that turned out quite well! The transition between those areas works, especially with the multi-colored pennants that blend well with the multi-colored neon. "paseo en globo" is "Balloon ride" in Spanish I believe, "el globo" would be "The Balloon"...
  9. As do I (although I haven't played RCT3 for a couple years...). John was kind enough to take some CS I had made for the original Disney America project in RCT3 and turned it in to an actual ride, as well as animating other pieces for us. Have lost most contact with him as that was years ago, but followed his website while he went to college and have seen him pop up in videos for attractions at Merlin parks. A very nice and talented man, and like you I think it's wonderful to see someone from the glory days of the community go on and be successful in the real world of theme parks. There's several others who over the years have gone on to work for Disney Imagineering and other similar companies that I know of, so those who play these games and dream of someday working in the business should know that those dreams can sometimes come true...
  10. Many in the community from back in the RCT3 days (and many who still play RCT3...), will recognize the name ImagineerJohn - a designer who brought many new rides and CSO to the game for a number of years. His real name is John Burton, and he later went on to become the Senior Creative Lead of the Resort Theme Parks (RTP) division at Merlin Magic Making at Alton Towers Resort, Thorpe Park Resort, Gardaland, Heide Park, Chessington World of Adventures and Warwick Castle. Frontier just released a new video A Memorable Ride Event @ Thorpe Park where John is featured... https://youtu.be/inKN1wtiZZw?si=iOJaVtWi9bW0zeII
  11. Congratulations! It can often be a struggle to complete a large park, so I know how much work and effort went into finishing it!
  12. The overhead is even more impressive.
  13. Wabigbear replied to Wowman's topic in Projects
    LOVE IT!
  14. LOL! That's why we had to break this project up into multiple benches! Thanks for the kind comments, much appreciated!
  15. Trying to remember...I think they are. They are by Shroom. I really like them too...
  16. Continuing on... The Darkside SpookEasy is reached up a ramp to a door on the side of the castle wall... One climbs a staircase inside of the castle, exiting onto a bridge crossing the River of Doom far below... Reaching the door to the restaurant and lounge...no photographs allowed inside, the spirits don't like flash photography (and they don't care if you're Brazilian and never follow that rule anyways. You've been warned!)... You can also enjoy the view of the waterfall while waiting for your table to be ready from the castle walls... Next door is the Aerial Tram, a shortcut to the Emerald City... Giant Rock Trolls threaten your tram cars... Just past the entrance to the Aerial Trams the path comes to an end...but a few items remain to be seen... A spot to grab a bite...or maybe the bite will grab you if you're not careful... Apprentice witches practicing their feminine charms I suppose... Which includes working in the Stewed Bat Wings booth or as bathroom monitor duties... Them things ain't gonna clean themselves you know - unless your cleaning spell works properly of course... Here's an overview of the Haunted Forest and the Wicked Witches Castle... But before we leave there's still an areas yet to explore...what's UNDER the castle in the Wicked Witches Catacombs,Dungeons and Points West...
  17. Not detailing the backside of a structure would be perfectly normal in real-life (even if we sometimes like to have it 360ยฐ in our parks!). Looks great!
  18. Definitely an acquired taste... ๐Ÿคข Thanks JB!
  19. Continuing along our way, even in the midst of the overgrown courtyard lawns one can still find 'facilities'... As well as shops that fuel the need for said 'facilities'... We come to our next attraction...Crazy Cauldrons... Across the River of Doom we go... We crossed OVER the River of Doom to the ride...we leave UNDER the River of Doom to exit...they never seem to make up their minds here... Next up...Catacomb Crawl under the Castle... One can take either the stairs or the elevator down, down, down... ...to a very short ride that I suspect the Wicked Witch only added to attract unsuspecting tourists in hopes that loose change will fall out of their pockets to be gathered later from between the seat cushions...or as just a reason to attract peeps back to this part of the Castle grounds...who knows for sure? Next door is the path to the Darkside Spookeasy where you favorite libations can be found...(you are a fan of a good Frog-tini or a Bat Spit Smoothie aren't you?)... We'll find out next time...
  20. Thanks for the comments everyone! There's another passage from the Broom Patrol coaster that crosses over it. The inner parts of the Haunted Castle includes a lot of swampland along with it's usual alligators...after her Flying Monkeys they are the Wicked Witches favorite pets! Another convenient parking spot to leave your brooms... Our Zombies are guaranteed FRESH...why the meat just falls off the bones it's so tender! (As do various other body parts...) Our next attraction is the Flying Monkey Brigade where you can test out your flying skills and hope that zombie finger doesn't come back up on you... The Flying Monkey figures were Workshop finds by Spiralguy, I just had to find a spot to use them they are really good... Now to balance out that cuteness... Here we can look back through the secondary entrance to the Haunted Castle, over the bridge to the abandoned Gulch Industries factory off Marvel's World in Kansas... I spy someone keeping an eye on us up above... Next door is the entrance to The River of Doom, which encircles the castle and passes through the Haunted Forest... The main queue leads off to the left, but there are elevators next to the rides exit on the right... The ride station is at a lower level... We'll follow the path of The River of Doom later, but for now we'll continue our tour of the upper pasts of the Castle... Owls and assorted Witch Accessories are available in shops along the Castle''s walls... Here we'll also find seating for the Gallows Humor Comedy Show. A highly 'spirited' comedy talk show. "...you'll DIE laughing!" Tonight's special guest on "Gallows Tonight" is the lovely Dr. Frankensteina, who will have you in stitches as she shares how she builds her man, piece by piece! Special musical guests "Gruesome 3some"...so hang around! We'll grab some refreshments and continue on our way momentarily...

Great night-time shot. The lighting looks perfectly natural too - warmer street lights and cooler lights on many of the billboards.
  22. Wow! The forced perspective on that is just amazingly good!
  23. New additions look great! I really like your ride entrances too...great attention grabbers.
  24. I will mention that much of the Haunted Castle is made up of blueprints shared on the Workshop, either whole or in part, often kit-bashed to fit in, and pretty much all having to be re-colored piece-by-piece (if THAT wasn1t fun... *ugh*). A sincere thanks to all those who shared their work on the Workshop... All that mixed in with structures I built myself... The original Goddard Group design had most of the Haunted Forest under cover, and the Witches Castle was smaller. The River of Doom encircled it. I just expanded upon that (as usual...) but left the Forest open-air, with the hopes that having a dense forest and adding stuff like fog and mist would give the same creepiness...
