  1. Those wooden planter 'cups' in the last screenshot are so cool! Did you make those or are they a Workshop item? They look great planted! Great start for the transportation hub...I really like how you laid out both the boat and train stations across from each other...
  2. (Missing the 't' in 'strollers'...😜) Yes, it's so nice to have better fonts to use for signs...much more versatile!
  3. At first glance my eyes picked out that most of the palm trees in the first couple of screens were all about the same height and I wondered if a few shouldn't be scaled differently to add a little variety...but then it dawned on me that I had seem fields of palms that were exactly like that - most all of them the same size. Here outside of São Paulo we have large plots of land where they grow bananas and palms for palm hearts, there's lot's of road-side vendors selling whole bunches of bananas and canned palm hearts, and the trees are all pretty much exactly the same height, which your eye notices. So those first couple screens actually look very authentic! The rest of your foliage is very lush and natural too. Love the screenshot, those are just gorgeous shots. You're making great progress so far!
  4. There have been several hacks discovered that can make Planet Coaster 2 more versatile. Ramm posted a tutorial on how to make regular paths as narrow as 2 meters wide: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/tutorial-making-smaller-paths-2m-instead-of-4m.630147/#post-10482558 Ramm posted a tutorial to enable edge scrolling: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/tutorial-enable-edge-scrolling.629474/ (NOTE: Frontier says they will address the edge scrolling issue in the December update...)
  5. I love the steps down to the water level!
  6. A large update is coming in December for Planet Coaster 2! I'm happy to see some scheduled fixes to some of the bugs, problems and missing content https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/planet-coaster-2-free-update-1-coming-december.629979/

Even better at night! Great job on the lighting!
  8. The night-time screens are gorgeous!
  9. Great start! I really like your names...very inventive!
  10. As promised (or threatened...), next we'll visit Winkie Town...home of (surprise!) the Winkie's! The Wicked Witch of the West has long ruled over the poor souls in the Land of Winkies. All Winkie males between the ages of 18 and 48 are required to serve in the Winkie Guards at the WWW's Castle. Why only until aged 48? Because most don't make it to 47... The WWW's sister, the late Wicked Witch of the East, handled real estate duties all along the Yellow Brick Road, including in Winkie Town (all for a 'small' closing fee forwarded on to her sister...). Despite it's ties to the Wicked Witch, Winkie Town has managed to preserve it's somewhat wacky flavor... One exception of course is the Wicked Witch of the West Benevolent Society...unfortunately the Wicked Witch is all out of benevolence... "All Hail The Wicked Witch!" "Which ol' Witch? The Wicked Witch!" They like to pretend Winkie's have a choice in joining the Guards... The Mayor's Office. He...or she...runs Winkie Town in the Wicked Witches absence...unless they displease her. Which is a rather painful thing to do... They had 35 different Mayors last year alone. An abode for sale through the WWE Real Estate Company...I believe a former mayor lived here until recently...in fact it comes with all his belongings still in place... The Winkie Choir meets here..."Oh-ee-yah, eow-ah!" Practice makes perfect you know! Ugu's Shoes for all your footwear needs... You'll need need to trim any toenails with those shoes! Some scenic photos of the burg... The Old Mill... The waterfront... Over the bridge the Yellow Brick Road continues on... As we leave Winkie Town behind... An overview of Winkie Town...the Wicked Witch's Vacation Castle is on the right, the mountain under which is the Nome King's Lair is in the background... Little wider view...the towers of the WWW's Castle loom on the left...The dock for the boat ride is at center... And finally an overview of this section of the park... Marvel's World in Kansas at far upper left, Munchkinland at lower left, Haunted Forest with the Wicked Witches Castle at center, Nome King's Lair at upper right under the show building, and Winkie Town below that on the right... Where do we go next following the Yellow Brick Road? Will it be Yellow Brick Country - Home of the Cowardly Lion, Tin Woodsman or the Scarecrow? Ir perhaps the Northern Kingdom - home of not only Glinda, Good Witch of the North, but also that Jolly Old Elf himself (not likely as we haven't finished that bench yet...), or perhaps we'll journey to the Emerald City itself to see the Wizard? Are you green-tinted glasses ready? When we figure it out ourselves we'll let you know!
  11. Ohhh! Love the colorful buildings! Nice detailing and it has a real 'fiesta' feeling. The peekaboo in the tunnel is a nice touch too!
  12. Yeah, I'm setting it aside for a bit and will just stick with PC1 for now. Lot's of potential...lot's of problems right now. And the problems infringe on the things that are good. Like JP I struggle with paths and pools, they are a bit wonky and fussy, so my patience level is limited, and then I see crap like the over abundance of PC2 logos on things like queue paths...seriously, I know what game I'm playing Frontier! The water textures on some of the water rides is horrible...worse that RCT3 and certainly worse than PC1 that had far better textures on many things. I didn't pay for a console game, I paid for a PC game. The update today was good, but there's a lot more to be tweaked yet in my opinion. I'll wait until more things are addressed...
  13. Frontier announced their first Hot Fix and also mentioned some things they are currently working on that will be included in future updates... https://www.planetcoaster.com/news/2024-11-07/hotfix-1
  14. Got the game on PC, and just opened it for a quick look around. Some people are reporting problems either getting into their Steam account, or downloading it, but it worked fine for me. I do like that the terrain button allowed you to shrink down to a smaller footprint, but it doesn't seem as large for the maximum size...I'll have to check PC1 to see what size it is. Some say the map is the same size as in PC1. However it does look smaller, so I''m not sure... Tried the pool tools...they will take some getting used to...as will the whole layout of controls. I definitely will be playing just in sandbox with most of the crap turned off myself. But they are there for those who wish to use them... Some people had commented on the heat map button always being visible at the top of the screen. Someone said that can be removed in the settings by deselecting "Show Onscreen Controls"...but was still there for me.
  15. Totally agree with you on the UI. Reading some of the comments elsewhere, I'm kind of struck that many people don't see this as a stand alone game, which it is, but rather as just sort of an update to PC1 with some new themes, rides and water park features. I'm guilty of that myself. It's certainly okay to compare the two, but perhaps we should compare PC2 at launch to PC1 at it's launch, setting aside the DLC's and special updates PC1 got later? Do I hope they'll add some of the features and content from PC1? Of course. But maybe we can expect it to be PC1+ from the start and instead see it as PC2...a new game. One that they'll add to, just as they added to PC1.
  16. Love Taboo Lagoon! Great job on forming the Polynesian-style roofs, and - again - wonderful screenshots.

I wanna see more fluffy cows...let's ride it again!
  18. I really like what I see of the conservatory, and the false-fronts are looking great, nice variety!
  19. The Gnome/Nome King heard a nasty conspiracy theory that chicken eggs were deadly to Gnome/Nomes, so he banned them and the chickens they walked in with from his underground lair. No one has been able to convince him that it wasn't true, because he heard it on FAUX News... Oh, what a great idea you had with the names of the vendor booths! I wish I had thought of that! As always, thanks so much for your kind words!
  20. About time you drug your carcass over here JP!
  21. Thanks Wowman! They were kind of problematic...I used the lit billboards and the images were too bright and washed out, switched to the non-lit ones...too dark. Darkened the images, they still looked too bright on the lit billboards, over and over tried different things, finally got tired of tweaking them and left them as they are. Still kind of bright in my opinion, but better than they originally were by far!
  22. Was encouraging to see Frontier release a new FAQ where they say that many of the things people have raised concerns about or have requested may be coming. Good to hear the communication from them... https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/planet-coaster-2-community-questions.629306/
  23. Thanks for the kind words...very much appreciated! So, despite our reservations, we'll travel past the gate and enter down into the realm of the Nome King... At the end of the passageway we turn a corner... It's the throne of the Nome King himself...surrounded by his riches... (In the books the name of the Nome King changed from Roquat the Red to Ruggedo - thus why the name on the signs is altered. Here we also see hte King refered to as 'the Gnome KIng'. Baum used the spelling "Nome" while authors Thompson and Neill who continued the OZ books after Baum spelled it as "Gnome". And now you know...) Here we also find fine vendors for Gruel... Mead and everyone's favorite - Grubs n' Stuff... But don't pig-out on those Grubs, because here's a ride that will bring them right back up again...Crusher. You can see more of the Nome King's Lair in the background. Step quietly and don't wake the dragon! Next up is Excavator... An underground coaster named "Quox - The Dragon"...always trying to make off with some of the Nome King's treasures... Next we'll enter the Crystal Cavern... More goodies to partake of! Fungus Funnels...Worm Stew...or Oldy Moldy Mole Pie...all washed down with Root Beer made from actual roots! Thankfully there's a restroom nearby... There's the tunnel for the Secret Route to the Emerald City (Shhhhh...). Dust from the Dusty Desert constantly blows in, keeping the housekeeping staff busy... At the center of the Crystal Cavern sits Forge... Just on the other side, past the giant grubs, is the path that leads to the exit from the Nome King's Lair...thankfully we survived...this time anyways. So we'll return to the crossroads of the Yellow Brick Road and next time explore Winkie Town...ruled over by the Wicked Witch of the West herself... Curses!!!
  24. VERY nice! Love the varied facades, they really work well. The bridge work and banks along the water are also really well done. Kudos!
  25. While I did pre-book PC2, and have been really looking forward to it, I am not among the 'fan-boi' crowd that just automatically cheer every screenshot or word about the new gane., I also do have some concerns based on what we've seen so far from videos and such, while I also see many things I like... No billboards? No additional music? No glass? Limited hours (parks close shortly after dark, which kinda defeats the purpose of lighting...), no humanoid animatronics? A hard limit on peeps? No snow (not even scenery pieces)? These are major concerns to me... Not all of these I suspect can be addressed with updates or in DLC later either. I was disappointed to see that most of the basic themes (Spooky, Western, Fairytale, etc.) were left out, even if some of the new themes do look really nice (Viking) or passable (Classical). I know they can add them later, but it crimps what we can do for the foreseeable future. I like that some themes have a large number of individual pieces - that's great! But disappointed that we lost hotels, restaurants, ATMs... And I don't believe we got the shops from PZ either? And what's with the totally empty interiors on some of the service buildings??? Love that there are brushes for foliage now! I do appreciate some of the new pieces for coasters, but disappointed those huge honking station platforms remain. I like most of the new flatrides, even if some flat ride footprints are still overly large. I DO like that they did away with the huge bollards at the entrance to ride queue's. I DON'T like that they felt the need to plaster the PC2 logo on even more things then they did in PC1, which was overkill in my opinion. I certainly haven't forgotten the name of the game I'm playing so don't need to be constantly reminded! I love the ability to attach items to coasters and rides. But I'm disappointed that it doesn't look like custom items will be allowed to do so, nor that TMTK is in their plans. While I'm not into waterparks that much, they do look okay, I can't comment on the complaints about lack of physics or whatever, but I really like the pools. I'm concerned when I see scenery items or rocks placed around those pools and peeps walk right through them. Reports are that barriers don't work to stop them either...and that's bad. The videos I've seen also seem to show that peeps collide and walk through each other far more than in PC1. Really puts a damper on realism... Pathing has undergone a HUGE improvement...BRAVO on that! I appreciate that a lot more pieces are recolorable. And it's wonderful to see narrower wall pieces! The ability to scale items is great, but tempered with the knowledge that not everything looks proper when scaled up or down from it's original size - especially wall pieces - because the textures also scale up or down and may nor match the rest of the building. I hope we can adjust the brightness of the game. Currently to my tastes it's almost washed out at times because it's overly bright. Again...realism. I don't like the clutter of the UI, and concerned at reports that it sometimes takes multiple clicks to get out of some tasks. While I only play on the PC, I appreciate the effort to include consoles, however I'll admit to feeling strongly that the game is seriously focused on consoles to the detriment of PC players... It's nice that they have strengthened park management with stuff like electrical stations, water purifying, etc.,...as long as those of us who don't care for those things can totally disable them. We'll see for our-selves when the game is released what's been fixed, and what's actually just a minor irritation...or is a major turn-off. Opinions may change when we can actually play it ourselves...and other irritants may crop up, as is normal. I'm just not 100% convinced that PC2 will cause me to suddenly forsake PC1....at least for a while until many improvements are made...
