Moving on west from the Fest area. Here is a clip of the zoo master pan that providing inspiration for this project. The fest area is in the area between the fountain and the white highlighted area (in half of the West Mall on the plan). The white area will be the African ungulate area in my project, which will connect to the old pachyderm house, which is now a huge ungulate barn. This white habitat will also include a jeep ride that goes through the habitat. The pink rectangle will be where Tropic World will be built. The blue circled area will be the new Gorilla Rescue habitat. Now we will focus on the green circle which is the mandrill habitat. Here is the actual game shot of this area as these sections mentioned above get laid out. Color highlights are the same as above.

Looking down on the second Natl Park area.
  5. Here is this entire section with all the rooms closed in. I will now have to level out all the undulations in the ground and then go back and fix anything underground (like terrain that creeped to close to tracks and scenery items) that may have got messed up by closing it in.
  6. Parade have been asked for as well a lot in the past. Be sure to enter requests on the official forums. They do read them, respond and take note. The more its asked for odds are we may get it. I would say the two biggest things that really never happened were: Water parks in PlanCo1 and new we are getting in PC2. Birds in Plazoo. I don't think its ever going to happen. Maybe that will be the big ticket item in PZ2?

Also, if anyone is interested. When Planet Zoo was announced, and we were waiting for the release....thats when I decided to build the zoo off the masterplan. I started doing investigation on the history of the zoo and zoos in general. I created a multiple episode video study on zoo design, specifically for Brookfield zoo. You can find this series on my YouTube channel and do a search on my channel for "zoo design" and it will filter down to those videos. Enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/@weirsgarage/videos

Truth be told...in a way it is a real zoo. Brookfield Zoo is the zoo of most of my real life. Its located outside Chicago. I found a long term master plan for the zoo that I'm using for the blueprint of this project. Am I embellishing...am I making things larger than life...am I adding a few things (or a lot of thing) that are not in the master plan on paper...Sure....this is a game with unlimited funds and just about unlimited space. Thing is....its still real close to what the zoo layout really is. I know this project showed up here when this site became a reality, but I explained a lot of this in the early, early posts of this thread back in the ShyGuy days. As I go into the next area I will reference the plan again and show how I'm trying to follow it. If you are interested...here is the real zoo website. https://www.brookfieldzoo.org/Visit
  9. Lots of things I would hope for, but some of the details already released are things that have been asked for from almost day 1 of PC1. Water parks, pools (and for all you management players....everything that comes along with managing pools) , scaling scenery, community shared building, customizable flat rides, improved (so they are saying) pathing, just to name a few!!!!

One last shot of the Fest area as the sun is setting and twilight comes over the zoo. Next will be the mandrill habitat.

Looking down on the small desert section before the cars head down and into the caverns.
  12. One last shot of this section before its closed up. This is a small lift hill to get the train through the remainder of the ride.
  13. More custom rockwork and supports being done.

I take a really long time, but thats just my building style. Paths and building take the longest, but I'm pretty fast with the terrain and the placing vegetation. I have the same slow issues in PlanCo as they are pretty much the same. It really just depends on how complex you make the layout and how detailed you want to be. Using pre-builts from the workshop is the best way to go for buldings and more lavish scenery groups. there is a ton out there. you can build a full project off the workshop if you want.
  16. Nice section and love the classic tornado style wooden coaster

I will share a few pics looking down on various parts of the ride so you can see a better perspective of how its laid out. Here is looking down on the end of the queue, load station, and the very beginning of the ride track.
  25. Some of the custom supports.
