  1. I CAN'T BELIEVE iEDDIEZ IS CLOSING SILVER SCREAM!! THIS IS NOT CLASSIC BEECHWOOD STUDIOS!!! makes a 43 minute YouTube video rant (Can't wait to see what you do in this area and what the new ride will be! 🤣)
  2. wolfpaw replied to shyguy's topic in Planet Coaster 2
Great start, this park is going to look gorgeous in PlanCo 2!
  3. No worries if life gets busy! Life always comes first, we'll be here and excited to see what you make and share when you can!
  4. Glad to see you've also joined, welcome to ParkCrafters!
  5. Glad to see someone over there has joined here, welcome to ParkCrafters, and we hope you have a much more enjoyable time here!
  6. Thanks for sharing these, it is really cool to see how the park evolved and changed. Never been to Disneyland before, but it definitely paved the way with how all future theme parks are laid out, I feel. Super cool to see how it all came together!

I just went to Glacier National Park a little over a week ago, and we were driving up the road through the park, and right next to you without any guard rails or anything, is like an 8k+ foot steep drop off.. as someone from Florida, I was not okay, haha
  8. I've shared the link to ParkCrafters on the subreddits and the Steam forums, hoping that those who didn't see it on the Frontier forums can find us. I tried sharing about ParkCrafters on their Discord servers, but it was immediately deleted and I was told I'm not allowed to advertise. I tried explaining that there are a lot of people who would prefer a forum instead of a server, so I figured I'd at least try and share, and the response was "just use Discord". I told them that while I understand why Frontier did this change, the tools that Discord has to try and mimic a forum aren't the best, and most don't use or realize they are even there and I'm just trying to provide an alternative. The response to that was "just use Discord" so I gave up after that; my point was completely going over their heads.
  9. From someone who has been building shows in RCT3 for over a decade now, you definitely pick up that "ear" for whether a song or soundtrack will work in a show or not. There are many times when there's a great idea and song that I want to do, and then I listen to it while trying to envision a show with it, and it just doesn't click or work out. I learned this the hard way with my jazz-inspired show, Speakeasy. The music had the big moments, you could envision the bursts and the choreography, but when it came time to actually put it together, you start to realize just how intense that music style is, and no matter how many effects or lasers you add, it will never match the energy of the music. The result was this way too over energetic and effects on effects on effects crazy show. Like Bookworm said, the music used in shows really does come down to personal taste and is subjective. For some, soundtracks are their bread and butter, and other times, rock, EDM, or pop songs are what work for them. If you have an interest in this, I recommend trying out one of those songs you listed and create a show! We're always looking for more showmakers, and it is a great learning experience! Just don't do a jazz show, never again... never again...
  10. THANK YOU for adding Twister back, I miss that ride. It all looks fantastic!
  11. I didn't even know that Tomorrowland entrance was made as a CS piece 🫨 It's all looking pretty cool, it's still so funny to see Mission: Space in there, haha. Can we get an overview shot!?
  12. Nice to see this finally getting an official topic! Excited to see how this turns out - are you aiming to keep the California Adventure side of the park more of the original concept ideas they had for the park, leaning more into historical California, or more of what the park actually came out to be?
  13. Well, it's official, the forums have officially closed down over at Frontier. I hope most over there have done some research and found ParkCrafters to continue sharing their work - thanks to everyone who posted (and tried to post) about ParkCrafters over there!
  14. I've left my thoughts on the official forum regarding the closure of their community forums. I'm hoping that many read and try out ParkCrafters here, as I do really love the forum layout for this community. Planet Coaster 2 is currently the best theme park building game out there...is it perfect? Not by any means, but it's the best one we've got right now. The cartoonish look, I'm sure they opted for so the game could age better in the future, as these 'cel-shaded' styles have an almost timeless look to them. I'm keeping an eye on Metaparks, but I'm cautious about it... I really hope it doesn't turn into another Unreal Engine mess mixed with what Theme Park Studio turned out to be. My only hope is that Frontier doesn't delete my post and that they realize fan-made communities such as this one are the ones that will keep this game relevant and active for many years. I hope that their developers and community leaders visit these types of sites and actively listen to what their actual active and dedicated player base is saying, rather than just blindly following whatever is said on their official Discord server.
  15. Yeah I originally didn't want to add this feature since we have the main forum site, I always envisioned Discord to just be the quick chat room companion to ParkCrafters main site. If there's a want and need for forums to be added to our Discord server in the future, I can look into it, but I doubt that will ever happen as long as this site is up.
  16. Yea, Discord is not a place for well-organized information, they tried adding a forum feature to it but I feel most users just ask things in general chats and it can get lost easily. This is why when I was creating ParkCrafters, I wanted best of both worlds and still created a forum for more organized projects and announcements and a Discord server for general chatting, voice calls, and livestreaming.
  17. That's a bit of a surprise; it was pretty active, and Frontier used it for organized feedback and ideas. Thanks @shyguy for trying to spread the word of ParkCrafters on there! I've sent out info on all the subreddits since we probably can't share on the Frontier forums, letting everyone know that ParkCrafters is here to stay for those who enjoy a forum site. I love forums and find them much easier and more organized than just a long string of chats like social media sites and chat software like Discord - I really dislike how unpopular forums are now. We normally just have a Discord for members to talk to each other and get on calls and host events, but the forums will always be here to stay for actual site and project updates and organization. Frontier is starting to remind me of Atari now...
  18. This is looking to be your magnum opus so far, I know the music for this one is intense so I'm excited to see the final show!
  19. YES to this, would love to see this added! I will forever say this and I'm sure many on here are tired of hearing this but... a proper mixmaster/AFE to rival RCT3's in PlanCo2 would be my #1 dream. Don't think it'll ever happen though sadly...
  20. I was too young too play RCT1 and 2, so to this day I've never really played them. It wasn't until I was in middle school when I was allowed to be on a computer for a few hours a day and at that time I had gotten RCT3 Gold for the first time. I tried doing the scenarios but never really cared for it and always found myself in sandbox mode instead, started out with just doing my own random stuff (they weren't good) and then tried recreating real life parks (didn't know CS was a thing yet at this point, so you can imagine how great these turned out). I always had an interest in the fireworks/mixmaster system in RCT3 and I remember viewing a tutorial online on how to make a firework in the AFE, so I tried it and got more into the pyro side and then ended up strictly only messing with the mixmaster until I discovered online community for RCT3 when I was like a freshman in high school!
  21. Welcome to ParkCrafters! I don't use a Mac, so I can't help you there unfortunately, hopefully someone on here can help you out. Doing some quick digging, some are saying to look in your libraries, if you have other Steam games downloaded it should be in the same area as those games. Maybe you can do some research on the other games you have to see where they are located and find the RCT3 files? In Windows, they are located in Documents/RCT3/Parks, not sure what the equivalent of that on a Mac is

Excited to see the community's third official Planet Zoo project here! Looking forward to the updates on this one!
  23. Sorry for the late response, I didn't see this posted in here. For all future site-related questions, feel free to post them in Community Support! As for your search question, yes, there is a search feature! You can just click on search on the left menu below the ParkCrafters logo, and filter down to where you want to search, or if you just go to the category you want to search for and click on search, it will automatically set that category as where to search.
  24. I'm getting a 500 error, which I'm pretty sure is just a blanket vague error due to server configuration issues. It's an old site that continues to go down a lot - the team over there has to look into it and fix it.
  25. wolfpaw replied to Steffan Kettelgerdes's topic in Support
Does it display an error when it crashes, or does it just close the game? Have you tried disabling shadows in the settings before attempting to place it? Most custom content can crash the game if shadows are enabled.
